I'll tell you what. There is nothing better then having people tell you how well behaved your kids are in public. This summer my kids (4 of them) have been in a handful of camps (rec camps and boys/girls club) and we've been told by both how well behaved, respectful, and helpful my kids are. The rec camp actually said they'd wave a weeks fee for my 3 older ones to come back the following week (that's was like over $300). I thought they were joking but then they actually called my wife later that night lol. Boys and Girls club said the same about my 5 year old. As crazy as it can be at raising kids and as much as they can be disrespectful at us (because parents suck in kids eyes lol) makes me feel like we're doing it right. Especially with all the little *******s kids out there now. You can tell some parents just don't give a **** and would rather be a friend then a parent.

That’s awesome! It’s rewarding when other people recognize you, even though that’s not what you’re doing it for.

It does suck when my son runs to Grandpa or Grandma because he knows he can get away with more with them. But I’ve got a job to do to raise a good human. He can hate me all he wants as long as he respects me and other people.

Oh yeah, there’s some appalling parental tactics or negligence going on these days. But there’s definitely a legion of parents who are being parents and not friends to their kids. That can come when they’re grown adults. Just like with anything, if the foundation is faulty the thing will crumble in time.

He is from Lowell. Met him several times. We actually threw out the first pitch together of a local little league system.

Speaking of kids, my dad and I stop at Wendy's a couple of weeks ago for some lunch and when we get done ordering I turn around to go get my soda and sitting on the counter next to the soda machine where they have things like the napkins and ketchup and all that stuff is this 15 or 16 year old teenager. He is just sitting there drinking his soda and swinging his feet and looking like he is having a great time. I walked up to him and I say "Why the hell are you sitting on the counter where people bring their food?" And I will admit I was a jerk about it too. He just jumped down and went back to his table. Man if I had done that when I was that age I would have been picking my butt up off the floor, because my dad or more likely my mom would have put me there in one swing for doing that.

I find it equally as bad with parents disciplining their kid in public. Just feels uncomfortable being around a stranger you hear yelling at their kid, being so verbal with them.

Any public area in general with wild kids on the loose is annoying. I've been to games where people just let their kid do whatever. It's middle of a game and their kid is just going up and down the stairs, wanting to watch the game from the front row steps, and in the last game I was at, their kid screamed(and I mean screamed. Not little kid wanting something scream, but flat out screamed like their life depends on it) their head off all game, going by the front row so often to try and get a large $10 adult tshirt from the games crew. Too bad that stadium didn't have ways to report annoying spectators. Nobody was messing with the mom though. She was with a group of friends who looked like those guys who'd probably get into a fight at a game if provoked.

Not the kid, the parent for not caring that their kid is going crazy, wondering into other people's seats, and possible danger risk being by the wall where they could fall over onto the field. Just sitting there enabling that behaviour.

This one isn't too bad, just a little irritating.

You are second in line in a left turn lane at a stop and go light and there is heavy oncoming traffic. The car in front of you stays at the white line and doesn't move a inch vs going out in the middle so the car behind can go through in case the light turns yellow. lol
