Going to be?
It's been that way for awhile.
You don't know how grating it is to receive "memes" from your father-in-law for the past 8 years with the sole purpose of trying to elicit a reaction from me.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
You don't want that toxicity on this website. It should serve as a place free of all that where we can discuss things we like without having to think less of someone for their political beliefs because trust me it would happen. Of course you can pick up on some undertones sometimes, but it's not the same as a website where the gloves are completely off.
No specifics, but there are people from this site I look at completely different now thanks to Twitter. Some for the better and most unfortunately some for the worse. At the end of the day we're all humans with different life experience and influences. It's easy to forget that in some other areas of the internet.
Now excuse me while I go like some political tweets.Comment

I would call it "Ban Theatre" and sit idly by as user after user flames others and themselves into a pink name.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

I would probably be one to troll people on both sides into anger, because it's so damn easy. But I would rather not see this place burn down.I would call it "Ban Theatre" and sit idly by as user after user flames others and themselves into a pink name.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
We've had that stuff allowed on OS before.
It didn't go well.
It's gone and been gone and thank God for it. OS is a sanctuary.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 02-25-2020, 12:46 AM.Comment

A lot of people don't need politics to show their true colors on here.

I'm probably just getting old
But overly loud music in a restaurant/bar setting where it's not necessary. The music is too damn loud if you can hear it over a packed house.Comment

Coffee slurpers.
My boss does this constantly and comes by my desk and just stands there, slurping and blowing on his cup of coffee.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Apologies if this is considered political:
When the media selectively omits/bury info on things because they know it'll go against the fear-through-ignorance narrative they are trying to spread. Such as being intentionally vague about (or downright not mentioning at all) the age stats on coronavirus mortality.Last edited by dubcity; 02-29-2020, 04:14 PM.Comment
