News websites
Not the actual content, to each his own on that but they just take forever to load with the ridiculous amounts of embedded videos.
I saw someone on twitter say something like
“It’s like porn sites and news outlets switched” [emoji23]

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
There's some precedent for this....Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (Lew Alcindor) sued Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (UCLA running back) over his name and I think....got some concessions? I don't really recall what the outcome was, but it was entertaining nonetheless. No idea if it was worth any of their times - almost certainly not. But who remembers?Comment

The credit roll video for MVP 05 was amazing dude! I think it was through the Options screen of the main menu, not like, after you win the WS or something. HahaNHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
To be fair, I don't think I ever looked at game credits either unless I was in them.
BTW, all of the other MVP "fake players" (ie, 1995 "scabs" who were on the outs with the MLBPA, Rick Reed and the like) like Alan Hughes, Scott Barcik, etc. were people I worked with. The one exception was "Anthony Friese" (ie, Kevin Millar), as one of our other producers chose that as an alias instead.
Probably about 50 of the minor leaguers that represented Top 100 prospects had names of friends and co-workers. The "Smallenberg triplets" on one of the Yankee farm teams were my high school buddy, his brother and father, all of whom are big Yankees fans.
As you might remember, we used the Giants' Kuiper & Krukow for our play-by-play. As an April Fool's gag, they had me personalize a baseball for Bonds himself, and they stashed it in his locker. Apparently Barry wasn't amused.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I'm back working at EA these days, and I was the one who put my own name in MVP, so no, I have no intention of suing, haha (I'm pretty sure I signed a form acknowledging the usage of my name in the game, at any rate). It's just weird/cool when my name pops up every couple years alongside Pablo Sanchez or Tecmo Bowl Bo Jackson. While I was staying at a hostel in Madrid a couple years ago, a couple dudes from New York recognized my name and figured out who I was, which was bizarre/hilarious. I also got a kick out of this:
Did you ever work with Steve Rechtschaffner, by chance? He is my good friend’s uncle and lives up in Vancouver. He worked with the Triple Play team and I believe must have worked for EA Big because I think he was involved with SSX (and maybe NBA Street).
Don’t know if he still works there, but I was just curious. I know you were involved with Triple Play 2002 so I thought maybe you two may have coincided.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I remember Rechtschaffner best for NBA reasons, strangely enough. At the Grizzlies' last game before moving to Memphis, Steve got a lot of play for holding up a sign that read, "THANKS FOR THE WORST TEAM EVER", a pic that still pops up online every once in a while when the Grizzlies' sorry Vancouver history comes up. Also, my 1st Triple Play wrap party was in... March 2000, I think?... in a suite at a Lakers/Grizz game. (Only time I ever saw Shaq & Kobe live.) During a stop in the action, Steve turned to a couple of us and pointed out that a fellow EA exec was sitting about 5 rows behind the basket, a couple hundred feet from where we were, said he was going to hit him with a paper airplane (we'd all had a drink or two by that point)... and then he hit him in the shoulder! Imagine aiming a paper airplane at a specific person in a packed sports arena and actually hitting your target - damnedest thing I've ever seen at a sporting event, LOL.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I know a lot of people are on Tapatalk these days, but for those who still use computer, I access a lot of my websites through a couple of keystrokes and press Enter. So for OS, I just type "op" before getting here (though I'm sure just "o" would suffice, but it's habit).
Anyway, there are other websites where I can accidentally hit a typo at times (say I hit "gn" instead of "gm" for Gmail), and I press Enter so fast that I don't recognize the typo in time. What grinds my gears is when my browser history recognizes the typo shortcut instead of the website shortcut due to recency rather than frequency, so I go there again. What makes matters worse is now that typo is hitting more frequently. It's like when you bite your cheek: you just end up biting it more and more afterward because now that swell protrudes.
Obviously I can clear it from history, but I'm lazy like that.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Sometimes I'll make a mistake and autocorrect just doesn't even bother fixing it.Comment
