Delivery and pickup are awful. It's a bit soulless for me.

I like going into stores myself, seeing what's new etc. Picking the fruit and such I want is an important one. Also couponing, scouting markdowns, etc.

Nah. I'll probably always do my own shopping. I hated the ordering **** during corona time and I still hate it.

I get my groceries from H-E-B (only in Texas and Mexico). If I have any problems, like a missing or close-to-expiration item, a couple of clicks in their app, and it is refunded - no questions asked.

I get my groceries every Sunday morning, generally at 7 a.m., and there is no hassle or extended wait at that time.

Yes, the cost is a little higher (about 25 cents per item) but their in-store coupons are in the app and I always save more than the extra charges and I would never use paper coupons so for me it's actually less expensive.

Even if it were more expensive, it is well worth it to me to not waste 1-2 hours of my life every week in a store. My free time is far more valuable to me than a couple of dollars an hour.

My personality type is INTJ, so I don't look at going to the store as a social interaction but rather as a nuisance. I get plenty of social interaction, in other ways, to keep me well-balanced.

I'm not so impatient that I can't wait a day or two for something to be delivered from Amazon. It probably helps that I re-order things before I run out so as not to have my life controlled by necessity and my lack of planning.

In short, it sounds like I'm lucky to have such a fantastic grocery chain at my disposal. However, if I ever move somewhere with stores that don't know how to do curbside right, I'll still rely on Amazon for almost everything else. Life is too short to waste so much of it shopping, at least to me.

This has been my experience too. I’ve settled on Wegmans as my store of choice. I think it helps that their stores are smartly, well laid out and large. I have less confidence ordering online in my most local store, but it’s close so I usually hit that for a few item run in-person.

I use Instacart and the time and hassle it has saved is innumerable. There are some items I won’t order online, mainly specific cuts of meat. But everything else has generally been pretty on point, including produce. For every order missing something, I’ve probably had the equivalent of getting someone else’s… and the customer service credits your account instantly if you aren’t a habitual “missing item” person. Probably had that happen a few times out of hundreds of orders.

It’s a premium, but it’s worth it to me.

This is part of the reason why I do go into stores and shop. Depends on what I need, and how I feel.

If I need one single item, I'll order it and pick it up in store later.

If I need multiple items, I'll go in store and shop.

This is very minor gear grinder for me but it still gets me to wondering about some peoples thought process: I'll go into like Wendy's or Chikfila or Jersey Mike, they take my order then ask for my name. I proceed to give it.

Them - "How do you spell that? Is it one L and an E?"
          Me - "Doesn't matter."
Them - "Or one A and two L's?"
Me - " Doesn't matter how you spell it. As long as you can read it, then say it.''

That's the reason I give a generic name, think Smith, when placing an order and have to provide a name. It isn't like they need my real name to get the transaction done :P

Lol, I actually did that years ago. But then I forgot what name I used and almost missed getting my meal.

I like walking around shops, mostly on the weekend. Hell I even enjoy grocery shopping. It's therapeutic

Same. And, therapeutically speaking, people-watching is one of mt favorite sports.
Sure, I can watch People Of Walmart on Youtube but instead of watching something on the small screen, I can go watch it happen live, like Broadway. Yeah, I'm comparing Walmart to Broadway. Walmart's version of Cats is as good as anything your gonne see on stage. Verry therapeutic.

It's not a bad thing at all, although if I do go to stores on the weekend, I usually go later in the evening. Going during the day can be a nightmare.

I like to get out early, say 9-10am and get home early. It's my favorite time to shop when I have a weekday off and it's mostly older people in the morning

Use to have the bad habit pre-COVID of almost heading to the store after work every night to pick up dinner. Got better at shopping for the week or depending on sales sometimes every two weeks.

Even though I have time on a weekend, I'm still waiting for a random weekday I have off to buy certain things because malls are always packed on a weekend.

I'm 3-for-3 in losing pairs of expensive wireless earbuds in my lifetime, and I've probably owned them for a cumulative four months in total.

I don't know how I lost this most recent pair, and I did everything in my power to maintain a hold of them (case and all) no matter where I went, as well as pairing all the tracking **** right. I mean in most all instances they were likely stolen.

This frustrates me to no end.

I guess it depends on what you are using them for, but for what I do I see zero reason to spend more than $25-$50 for a pair of earbuds. I use them for podcasts and Youtube. The last time i misplaced the pair I own i just bought another, then i found the pair i thought i lost. So now I have 2 pairs that I paid a total about $32 for.

For music it's pretty mediocre, but to me Airpods don't sound $200 better either.

I rarely use mine for anything but phone calls and even then usually only at home when I need or want to be hands-free. I got my last pair about two years ago from Amazon for around $25, and they work just fine for my needs.
