Yeah I've noticed that in seeing interviews with people from Seinfeld or The Office. They'll be aware of the big stories/scenes either from them being good enough to remember or just because they're the ones people bring up most, but they don't remember super-specific things because they haven't watched the series a million times like we have.

What came up for you that inspired this comment?

one of the weird ones for me is that Sheldon's dad from Young Sheldon is also Leonard's bully from Big Bang

also I kinda thought Seinfeld did it on purpose just to see if we'd notice, like George was with a girl who didn't care about his appearance, who was also a higher up on another episode that got him fired on day one for touching her and trying to vibe with her based on what she was wearing

seinfeld was on another level though so who knows

That one was a pure coincidence. I think the producers just loved having him and brought him in for young Sheldon.

Young Sheldon's continuity vs BBT isn't the best, then again, they wrote BBT with Young Sheldon never even a thought, although it wouldn't have hurt to have some intern rewatch BBT and make notes of every single detail Sheldon ever references about his life and family growing up.

At least Young Sheldon you can somewhat pass it off as "The show is Sheldon writing his memoirs, so this is the story from his perspective/selective memory", which they even referenced on the series finale when Amy called out Sheldon for some false info.

I've been listening to Pod Meets World (Boy Meets World podcast) and the cast has been "re"watching every episode of the series.

But they've all admitted to rarely if ever watching the show, either in the moment on TGIF, or years later on tv/dvd/streaming.

They've also mentioned doing conventions over the years and fans would dress up as certain characters or quote certain (notable) lines and they'd have no idea what the reference was.

Makes it worse because they had a spinoff of the show a decade ago, where 2 of the 3 hosts on the podcast were part of (as directors and as characters on the show), and they basically admitted they did the spinoff despite not having full knowledge of their own show that this show is spinning off of.

They've also interviewed producers and other celebs from other shows and seems like that's a very common thing in Hollywood for people to not like watching themselves (either because it makes them anxious, or they start critiquing every little thing they do on screen), and people don't seem to have full knowledge on their own shows.

Ah, Pod Meets World. I caught a few of the early ones and didn’t stick with it but maybe this is my reminder to give it another shot. I remember “I haven’t seen this since it aired” being mentioned a lot, but BMW ended what, 20-25 years ago? A lot of those memories will get lost to time anyway.

Isn’t this true of most people? Or maybe I’m weird. I’m not on TV or anything but the rare times I’ve had to film something at work…nah, not a fan of that.

Memories will get lost to time, but the thing is, they don't have memories of watching it on tv because they admitted to never watching it on tv.

The podcast most of the time is just them critiquing line by line/scene by scene though. My fave parts of it is just listening to them talk about non show related stuff because that's when it can get funny.

And most people are like that, they don't like watching themselves in video, or hearing how they sound, but you always figured someone as public as an actor might have been somewhat different since you'd think they'd be used to it.

She didn't eat the pie because she was a psycho. At least that's what Jerry deduced by asking the other two random women diner's he approached after overhearing their conversation.

I will never understand people who talk during movies. Just saw Ballerina, and these 4 guys next to us talked the ENTIRE movie. I seriously don't get A.) Feeling the need to talk throughout an entire 2 hour movie and B.) having so little respect for others around you.

You know what really grinds my gears? Impatient drivers that tail-gate and then speed past you only to be at the same red-light a few streets down lol. I'm still trying to figure out whaat the point is. I sometimes seriously wonder what people went through in their households to make them exhibit some of the odd behaviors you see on the street at times. friggin odd thomas, go sit down somewhere mane, sheesh, you're killing the vibe.

                          😂
I will say that there are valid reasons to speed pass. I don't believe in tail gaiting, but left my house twice today getting stuck behind slow drivers both times. And both times I hit red light cycles on some of the city streets that had the driver just been like 3-5mph faster then myself and a handful of cars behind me would have driven straight through. So, if there had been a lane that I could have sped past them then I would Of course sometimes it works out where there is no net benefit because you end up at the same traffic light a few roads down, but it's the law of averages.

It's only the people who truly drive slow though that bother me, ie: where we're maxing out AT the speed limit or lower. I especially don't get tail gaiting if I'm already 5 over.

There are two school of thoughts here, you have a couple options with the first school, give them a half-turn, or a full-turn with the eyeroll, or...

from the second school of thought, the opposite approach...

I got mistaken for a celebrity today! The gear grinder is because my hearing is so bad, I couldn't tell who I was mistaken for. She asked if I was in some show, I had to ask what show (as if I've ever been in any show), and I couldn't understand what she said I tried to use google AI when I got home to try and piece together what I thought she said, to see if it would show me the actor I was confused with, like to see if I should be insulted or not lol, but there was no way. It was something like "Race to Davey's olympics" lol and there's no show name even close to that. AI was like sorry man, got nothin for ya
