Some girls I was friends with in HS are always posting slutty pictures on Facebook. They went to a paint rave a few weeks ago and posted some pictures of some really revealing attire they were wearing and then the next day one of them makes a post/rant about random guys messaging them asking them out and ****.

It makes no sense. Bitch about their programming being dumb, sure, but not about the lack of music. I mean, the internet exists now.

The problem with that is, a lot of people don't know about it because they have all the MTV channels so far apart from each other, instead of having them back to back to back in order.

For example for me:

MTV = channel 50
MTV 2 = channel 137
MTV Jams = channel 139
MTV H = channel 160

Because of that it took me well over a year to realize it was a MTV 2 and 2 more years before I found MTV H.

Did people really sit around and just watch music videos for hours on end? I would watch maybe 30 minutes of VH1/MTV in the morning, but mostly I just tuned into TRL and those types of shows.

When I was in elementary and high school, my friends did. When I was in the military and in barracks style housing where they had a lounge room with a tv in it, lots of people did, hell that tv never left MTV.

But hey that was decades ago before you had the easy access to the internet. But during the 80s and 90s, if you wanted music videos 24/7, MTV, VH1 and BET was it. Hell that is how most people back in the 80s and 90s learned how to dance and get their fashion from was from music videos.

I watched MTV nonstop from 86-95 and grew up on music videos.

Other than the most recent season of Beavis & Butthead last year, I haven't tuned into MTV in over ten years.

I have DirecTV. I do my surfing mainly in the 200s. Once I reach about 311 or so, I come back down to 212 and start back up again, lol. MTV not in that range.

I watch more MTV than I'd like to admit. Every year I tell myself I'm gonna quit watching Real World and Real World/Road Rules Challenge, but somehow I always find myself recording the new season. I've seen each episode of Catfish since it debuted, and will even stop to check out Teen Mom 2 from time to time when my girl has it on.

Most of the programing on there isn't geared toward my demographic anyway, but they still put out some decent stuff.

That Teen Mom 2 is a ****ing **** show though. Jeez.

I checked it out because I'm the same way. Once I hit the 300s, I start back over.

MTV is 331, MTV2 is 333. Those are the only MTV Channels I seen and the only music I seen on MTV2 was between 4am and 9am.
