When I'm picking someone up at the airport and the traffic cops blow their whistles and swing their flashlights at me after I stop for 0.6 seconds.

Must be one of the most thankless jobs, though. As much as I want to curse them out, I wonder how many people actually end up doing so.

I've seen that happen at a Walmart before when somebody was picking up someone who had a couple of bags and putting in the back of the car and some cop can up and scolded them because they were parked in the Fire Truck parking. Sometimes, just sometimes, cops/security are annoying.

Happened to me a couple times. Annoying. I'm going to pick relatives up in a little bit too.

I'd want to see CPS come and take the child away from them. I know it's radical, but it pisses me off that a kid could get health problems because the parent(s) are too worried about getting a smoke.

I also get annoyed when I hold the door open for someone (or anyone else for that matter) and a person doesn't say thank you or don't hold the door open for someone else. It should be programmed into you to say thank you for someone holding up the door for you or to hold the door open for someone else (especially people with crutches/handicapped or the elderly.)

Other than that, nothing really frustrates me that much.
Just to add onto both of these

People who smoke around children period. In cars, homes, etc. Ridiculous.

When you're trying to hold the door open for someone, and it's a double door with two doors you can open and they go and open the other door even though you're standing right there holding it open for them.

People... who am I kidding... women who put every detail of their baby's lives online/on Facebook.

A girl I went to college with, she's an engineer, she's smart so I thought she'd know better, but I guess the whole having a baby thing turned her into every other girl I know with kids.

I know what the kid ate yesterday, what toys she played with, how long she slept, where she slept, what mommy needs to get done while she slept because mommy was doing so-and-so with baby instead. I don't usually hide people's statuses, but she has taken it whole 'nother level. If Facebook is around in 10-15 years still, that kid is liable to be freaked out if she ever finds out her mom was the ESPN version of Gamecenter for babies.

When I have to do any type of traffic I loathe it. Sometimes I take a couple extra hours to work a marathon. Well I have to block an intersection when the runners come. I instantly become hated by everyone I hold up. There are some ok ones that understand but so many are complete jerks. Then you have the people that stop there car and try to ask me directions. My job is in like 11 square miles of the city. I don't know every single street and every single business. Then people look at me disappointed when I don't know.

I rarely take these jobs because people are so mean and they get to act like jerks while I have to sit there and take it.

Here's the flip side to that. If that becomes allowed then guess what, everyone will do it. Also realize that if a fire department sees that they complain to police departments to enforce parking violations of that nature.

It could very well just be an over zealous security person at Walmart too. It is private property and they don't have police patrol for parking violations. However a cop could be riding through and see that.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Here's one specific to today and the NFL in general this year.

How the **** lazy can you be with a schedule? Colts/Titans, Chiefs/Broncos, and Saints/Panthers. Every single one of those division series is played twice in 3 games. I guess when they made it they figured the Titans, Chiefs, and Panthers would have 0 chance at the division and they wouldn't matter, but to me that just looks horrible. Spread it out. Similar with Jets/Dolphins. It's week 13 and they are just now playing for the first time.

As for Thanksgiving, the NFL is so damn lazy there too. I know there has to be one AFC/NFC game and one NFC/NFC game each year because of how the TV rights are setup, but do you know how many times we've seen Packers/Lions in the last 10-15 years? 6 times! You mean to tell me the Vikings or Bears are never available? That any of their other NFC opponents couldn't play today? Same with Pats/Lions. 3 times since 2000. They are pretty bad about Raiders/Cowboys and Broncos/Cowboys too. Miami/Dallas is another one that shows up a lot.

I know they probably do it for popularity's sake, but people are going to watch Thanksgiving football period. Can we not turn Thanksgiving into Groundhog Day?

The Cowboys have played the Broncos twice on Thanksgiving, they've played the Dolphins more...

I'm talking the past 15 years or so, not all time. They've played each of the Raiders, Broncos, and Dolphins twice. Actually, I see another Dolphins game in 99 I missed. You helped my point then, thanks! Add the Dolphins on that list! I mean, this year, Cowboys/Broncos would have actually been a great game to put on today, but come on man, can we see Steelers/Cowboys maybe at some point? Not since 1991 has that game occurred.

I see where you're coming from with that. That one is a little different, because you're stopping traffic instead of maintaining traffic flow.

It depends on how heavily congested the area is too. I don't get unnerved if there is a lot of traffic in the arrivals section and the person I'm picking up isn't out yet. Circling through one more time is no biggie. Last time though (not just last night), I was picking up my sister and there wasn't any traffic. I was like the only person there, not literally but pretty close to it. She was on the phone with me and said she saw her bag, so I stopped. Four seconds later, the whistle is blowing and I really just wanted to flip him off.

Absolute worst, especially in dealing with people in college. "Hey be at my place at 9pm" Ok cool I'm ready to go out the door by like 8:30, but nope my roommate or friend won't be ready sometime until 9:15ish. Although he learned his lesson once when I just left him and kept sending him pics of us having the time of our life
