My friend says that he probably can come over, and he says he'll talk to me about it later but when i try to contact him later, he just ignores me. He did this several times and now i just don't invite him over my house anymore although he invites me over his house sometimes, but only when any other of his friends are over

Even if I end up doing nothing I'm not going to wait around and see what he decides to do. Homie don't play that.

I had a buddy that refused to visit when I moved to a duplex. It was a huge upgrade over the dilapidated woodpile I moved out of. It would been the perfect place to hang out (), but he's the "always has to be the host" type. He had every excuse in the world to not come over, and eventually said something about being jealous or some ****. Then one day he needed me to order some NBA tickets for him and suddenly he came right over to help with the ordering process. Dick. I should've hit him with some lame excuses or pranked him somehow but I'm too nice, tossed a couple verbal jabs and let it go.

This. Freaked the **** out of me here the first time I saw them because many of them look like red light cameras, but none of them are for tickets, just for traffic monitoring.

For all I know this could be the same for me. One of the major ones though has this annoying flash that seems to go off even when people don't violate anything. So that one obviously is for traffic tickets.

Are you in finance? For us it's a pretty ****ing big deal. We make lots of changes at year end that have to be implemented and the higher ups take forever to make a final decision so then we're rushed to get everything in for January because they are too indecisive. Combine that with the holidays and PTO for everyone and it gets ridiculous.

Also (maybe this isn't common knowledge) for those who don't know, a light isn't triggered by the lights from your car. They place inductive loops in the ground that detect the metal on your vehicle, so if you don't stop on the loop, your might not be detected.

But most of the time, in heavy traffic areas, the timer of the light takes precedence, especially during rush hours.
Yeah you can see the markings on the road where you have to roll over to trip the light.

The only flashing lights that trigger traffic lights around here are from ambulances, police, firefighters, etc. It sucks when you're about to get the light but an emergency vehicle trips it and messes up the cycle. Can't be too mad though... Probably saving someone's life. I'll let that slide.

I need to make a road rage thread for OS. I can't go half a mile (if that) to the store without someone doing something stupid. Literally I am amazed when someone actually uses their turn signal, that's how rare it is. I'm just appalled at the lack of consideration & safety for everyone else on the road, it makes me sick.

Just got home from dropping my fiancé off at work. There's an intersection with a left turn lane, two straights, and a right turn lane into a shopping center. About 50-70 yards ahead there's a huge intersection with two straight lanes and a right turn lane. For some reason, people think it's okay to get in the right turn lane of intersection #1, go straight, and basically cut in line everyone who wants to turn right there that were correctly going straight through the first intersection. I just watch my side view mirror waiting for someone to blow through and crush me (who should be protected) going illegally straight in a right turn lane only.

But people will stop in the right turn lane only of intersection #1 since it's red, then go straight. There's not much room between intersection #1 and #2 so when people do this, it's a bitch to merge especially when that second light is red so everyone kind of coasts to the light. Sure enough, a big *** tow truck or heavy machinery truck pulls up beside me today. Mini van behind him. I'm not stupid, I picked my battle on this one. No shame in completely cutting off the mini van. They threw their hands up like I was the one being an *******. Dude behind me who correctly used the straight lane before turning right at the second intersection got honked at pretty bad. My fiancé was like, "Are they seriously honking at you?!" I was watching my mirror the whole time so I knew it wasn't directed at me but if it was, there would many hand signals exchanged.

They need to put up a big fat concrete median there. Or at least some orange cone-stick things. People don't pay attention to lane markings and road signs so they're just ignorant to it. They need the neon reminder...

I love at that dinner party where everyone says "He went to Jared" and then that old guy with the deep voice says it with a smile on his face.

The Kay Jewelers commercials are so cheap, but they always feed me marriage proposal ideas at the same time... or at the very least inspire me to stray away from doing the ballpark scoreboard message.
