    No, just...no

Let's take a look at the following list of words/names and see if there are any that are ever pronounced like that...

Crane, Plane, Jane, Dane, Mane, Cane, and realistically we could put in any word that has "ame" at the end too because it's the same principal (a, consonant, e) Tame, game, fame, same, came...

There are tons more I'm sure, so if you can find some examples of words that end in ANE, or AME where the A is pronounced as an O...be my guest.

My name is Christian and that's what I've always gone by. But it gets changed to Chris or Christopher all the time. It's also surprising how many people can't spell it. My cup at Starbucks pretty routinely says Christen or Christin.

I always thought Chris was just used as short for Christopher. I've been calling my buddy Chris(topher) by Topher since 9th grade of high school. It just sort of stuck and now that's what everyone calls him.

          I let that reference slide.

I often have people call me "Trace" as well. I usually don't even correct them.

Talking to customer service people on the phone is fun.

I either end up spelling my name or just rolling with whatever I think they're pronouncing.

Ordering something that comes out to $7.03 and not having 3 pennies with me. Now I have to carry a pocket full of change.

That change adds up. I am in the cash biz over summers so I end up trying to spend a lot of it. I'll come out with at least a few rolls of change at the end. The quarters are great for car washes too.

                    This stuff grinds my gears.

Price things out so this isn't an issue. Why would you make something cost $7.03 after taxes? It's dumb. You know full well the average person isn't carrying three pennies in their pocket which means the store needs to hand over $0.97 every cash purchase.

Some stores will just give you back a full dollar or ask for $7. That makes more sense.

I collected change in a jar for like 4 years in my apartment and used Coinstar when I moved. I had like 300 bucks in change lol.

We only have 50ish in change right now in a jar, but need to put it somewhere. I hate change in my pockets, so I'll just trade it in for Amazon credit at coinstar eventually for no fee....

I'm glad we got rid of the penny in Canada. Has been out of circulation since February.

I don't mind getting change back. Sucks initially, but every 6 months I bring the change jar to the bank and walk out of there with like 60 or 70 bucks. Feels like a little bonus, haha.

I use America's First Credit Union for my banking and I'm enrolled in a program that rounds my purchases to the next dollar and moves that change into a savings account. It adds up over time and I still save my loose change when spending cash. I would just rather not get 97 cents back in change and have to carry it around for a while.
