D2 is different then FCS. They only use those for football. Basketball and the other sports all fall under D1 instead of FBS/FCS.

The thing that bugs me about the switch from D1/D2 to FBS/FCS, is it's much easier to explain mismatches to friends who don't know about NCAA football using the old format. A novice can understand D2 is inferior to D1, but when you say a team is from FCS, the friend is kinda like "hmm, how bout that".

Like many other things that are insanely cluttered and complicated, the entire NCAA needs to be revamped and streamlined.

Pat Summit being mentioned with some of the greatest basketball coaches of all time. Adolph Rupp, Dean Smith, Bobby Knight, etc.. She doesn't belong anywhere near those names.

I'm sorry, maybe I'm coming off as being prejudice toward women, but women's college basketball is a hell of alot different then men's. I don't consider it as much of an achievement when there's only two or three competitive teams, whose in it this year? Lemme guess Uconn, Tennessee, and Duke.

What she has accomplished is phenomenal, but it doesn't belong with those names, and it bothers me when she gets thrown in there with that conversation.

It's hard to explain since FCS/FBS schools are both Div 1 and Div 2 is completely different. But for basketball they don't separate Div 1 like they do for football. Can be confusing for casual fans.

What are your thoughts of Eddie Robinson? Does he belong in the tops of college football since he coached FCS?

I have to be honest, I had never heard of him till you mentioned him. I'm reading about Mr Robinson right now, and damn is it impressive.

Who’s the greatest college football coach ever? Some say it was Eddie Robinson, the winningest coach in NCAA Division I history. Samuel Freedman, author of the new book Breaking the Line, on how Robinson overcame racism to build Grambling State into a powerhouse.

Well after all, Eddie Robinson does have an award named after him...which was won by Towson's coach in 2011. Bringin it full circle

When people tell me I'm not a real football fan because I don't live in the States/am not American.

Hell, if anything, I'm an even bigger fan because of that. I watch games in the middle of the damn night, TNF & MNF START at 3 am here. I literally have no one to talk with about football, I have to force the NFL up people's throats to make them interested. Thank God, I found a group of 8 people who are football fanatics here. Almost no one here knows a single thing about football. I spend my days on web streams and nfl gamepass because there's no football on TV here. I bought three frickin jerseys on which I payed shipping as much as the jerseys. I've been working alongside college to save money for a trip to Louisiana to see the Saints and Tigers play. I'd literally give my right arm to experience SB Sunday in the States, hell, I would be ecstatic just to go to Buffalo Wild Wings and watch any game. I have NONE of that here. A big part of my life revolves around football, and it's even more impressive when you consider where I live.

Had to get this off my chest, I was super annoyed by this.
