I'm against mostly all marketing schemes including Christmas. Valentine's Day is junk.

BUT just because I feel that way, I never want to be that guy a girl is dating that ignores it to send a message (against who? The marketers? They are doing just fine). She doesn't deserve that.

Luckily, mine isn't too crazy over it and we both see it as another Friday. I still got her flowers. But not roses because I think they are hideous and my thought is women secretly hate them too (but you know, yours is bigger than mine mentality always wins).

I bought her Lilly's since they're her favorite.

Anyway enough with the mush.

Yeah, she does love giving gifts. My Valentine's day gift from her this year involves a hotel room and a surprise lingerie outfit. Need I say more?

Paraphrasing, but I heard this on the radio yesterday:

"Fellas, today is the last day to get your flowers order in...call 1800Flowers! Avoid the dog house and call today!"

I just hate the message. Like everyone HAS to send flowers and candy to the job to "make them feel special." Forget that.

Luckily, my Wife isn't into flowers and candy and ****.

I've never heard anyone use the term Swoldier.. lol.I work out with future Seals, EOD, SWCC, and Navy Divers on some weekends too.
What does the Navy have to do with anything.. sounds like he's just an asshat.

When sports stations cut off the ending of a broadcast. It's now a common theme in Canada for the station to not show the ending of a broadcast unless it's hockey,curling,poker or something like that because they've been constantly cutting off the endings to broadcasts in events like NBA and NFL(even superbowl!)

I'd be ok with it if I could at least switch to another channel and watch the ending,but this is the only channel it's on,so if they switch,I can't see it anywhere else!

It GMG when people go out of their way to make it sound like they found their soulmate etc etc on Valentine's Day like they are the happiest couple on the planet but...in reality they aren't.

We have some friends like this. The female posts all these super positive facebook posts but complains to my girlfriend about the marriage.

Sooooo fake

The girl that makes the "I hate my boyfriend so much, I don't know why I'm still with him" post and than an hour later "OMG I have the greatest boyfriend, I love him so much".
