And if you get nothing....you'll never hear the end of it.

I'm glad to be single again.

As for what is grinding my gears....a ten hour shift morphing into a 13 hour shift. Dang boss shoving more work towards me (most of it hers). The joys of being an assistant manager.

Assistant manager is the worst position in the world. You're basically the GM, but with none of the pay and all of the responsibility.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Shows not starting or finishing at the time shown on the cable guide. Can add shows scheduled to end on an odd number. Why can't shows run from 10-11 like they used to. Causes nothing but problems when recording things.

Last night we decided to start Fargo. Because FX is guilty of doing what I describe above, episode 2's recording was messed up due to not starting at the advertised time. I had recorded the scheduled 11:15pm reply. Instead of starting at that time I get the final 7 minutes of the 10pm running on my recording. So what was the point of scheduling a reply to begin at 11:15 again?

Pisses me off because you add commercials to the overrun and now miss out on half a segment because of it all. Just start and end on time! It's not like your channel showed a live event earlier in the day. There is no excuse.

                          Failed S.M.A.R.T. tests.

Second failed hard drive in 2 years. FML. It happened so fast, went from perfectly fine to life support in less than 24 hours. At least the other one was a slower death I saw coming and could salvage a lot of stuff from it.

(btw, I know that a failed smart doesn't equal dead drive, but the half hour it now takes to boot plus the 2 minute wait between anything I try to do kind of confirms the drive is F'd)

Hey guys, you wanna know a great way to get people to support your cause? Cause insane amounts of traffic on one of the city's most important boulevards that's already disgustingly congested at all hours as is.

                            Good idea!
