Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

This one is my own mistake, but my bedroom lamp is too warm (compared to that of natural sunlight) to be able to differentiate navy blue from black.

Several years ago I was heading off to my substitute teaching gig, and I was wearing a black collared shirt... and apparently I had on navy blue slacks. I noticed the second I arrived at school when I stepped out of the car. Thankfully I still had enough time to go all the way back home to change. It was a bit frustrating to have to do, but it beats the embarrassment of doing the other, especially at a school that you might potentially look to get hired at.

I made the same mistake Thursday when I packed for a SoCal vacation I'm on right now. Currently I am stuck wearing a navy blue Nike t-shirt with black and white Nike gym shorts. I thought the t-shirt was black. Now I look kind of ridiculous. I think most people would say it matches just fine, but it's a little weird and came off because I couldn't differentiate one from the other.

You think wearing a Navy shirt with black slacks is a reason you wouldn't get hired at a school?

You actually have it backwards. What you proposed is just fine. I'm actually wearing that right now (though it did look back with the black-and-white shorts and was not the outfit I intended when I packed).

The only point that I was making about that was I'd want to make every great impression that I could. Mismatching that ridiculously is not a great one. I dare you to not match in your next interview, and see how you come out. My substituting is a part of my "interview" with any school, since that is their first-hand glimpse of me.

People who become debate experts on all subjects while drunk. Had to listen to my friend's wife inform me why Bose is so amazing. She was even courteous enough to spell out the company name for me -_-

It might work out for me. She got the UE Boom 2 free as a product tester. Since she loves Bose so much I might have to buy one of their less expensive bluetooth speakers and trade it to her.

Thieves...especially when it's your own employee. What makes you think you are going to get away with something when there are literally four cameras staring down on you from different angles???

Ahh you're right. I read it backwards. Yeah, black shirt with navy slacks is a bit rough.

That Rockstar or any other developer hasn't made a Miami Vice like "L.A. Noire" type game. I enjoyed L.A. Noire and its time period, but would love if they set it during the 80's in Miami.

Yeh, it even had "Tubbs" in it. Vice city was so long ago, I'd love to see an L.A. Noire type game though.

Blew my mind when I googled and realized Vice City was from 2002, if I went back and played it now I wonder if there'd be nostalgia or annoyance
