    Another gym story.

I was already walking in the parking lot and I heard a voice 10 yds behind me and thought they were talking to me.

I turn my head and the "young" guy was talking into his phone with the phone in front of his face. Oh wow.

I told our youngest son that one and he said, I hate when people do that.

Maybe it was a parent that the person hadn't seen in a while and they were Facetiming or Skyping? You're being judgmental in the same way you just criticized someone else for acting.

True, that's a good point, but I don't know if that stuff is done at a busy parking lot crossing with oncoming cars in 3 different directions? I just thought that once our son confirmed that he seen/heard it happen more than I have, I wasn't being judgmental.

Just saw a commercial for a car called the "Kia Niro"...all spelling aside, what's next? The Caligula model? So many nonsensical names to choose from... Maybe it wouldn't grate on me so much if I thought of it as an homage to Bobby Milk instead of a company that failed their ancient civ class.

The point was people on Facebook are acting like these are super secret hidden easter eggs that have never been seen previously. I guess I also fail to see how Disney/Pixar posting it means anything other than it being a cute video.

I get too invested in TV shows way too often where I always end up hating seeing some of my fave shows end which leads to "Show ending withdrawal". 2016 was first year in awhile where no show I watched ended, but now that trend is starting up in 2017 again and it sucks.

Especially ones I'm invested in up until the moment it ends and not just regular shows I watch out of habit and when it ends I'm not too sad because the show ran its course(which might be the case with a show like Big Bang Theory for me, and in the past How I Met Your Mother, though the finale did help make me not miss the show at all since the finale sucked).

This one is kind of irrational.

People who are oblivious to sports. I don't blame my 55 year old uncle who I know is completely disconnected from the internet and sports world, but how are you going to be a 24 year old who spends his entire day on Reddit and Facebook, but not know that the NFL is in the playoffs? He is also that guys who calls everything sportsball.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

NFL is a big one. Not knowing the NHL is in the playoffs might be excusable though.

It saddens me how ESPN uses Barry Melrose. It's like, "We don't know anything about this sport, so we'll let you jump in for a segment and talk about it, and we'll just play along." It also seems like the kind of move where they're really nice to his face, then the moment he leaves, everyone snickers at his accent, mullet, and infatuation for the sport.

The whole point of Reddit is that you see what you want to see, unsub from /r/NFL and you won't have any idea or reason to know what's going on. Facebook is pretty much the same way.

The sportsball thing I've never heard from someone who was genuinely unknowing, only people who think their not paying attention to sports is a virtue.

And oh yeah, I know that I mentioned flopping as a gear-grinder of mine. This just takes the cake though:

Players should be fined heavily and/or ejected for this. It's not only making a mockery of the sport and the human body/brain's coordination abilities, but it encourages all of the younger players and coaches to practice this exact thing. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that if you watched a middle school basketball team practice for a week, you would see at least one flopping drill.

LeBron would be proud of that flop.
