      Long rant alert.

      Spoiler

That was my only negative part of the day. But it bugged me all day. I'm not the type of person who can just let these types of things roll off their back and forget about it.

Stay tuned next time for more of these venting moments lol. Closer to Christmas time, people get crazier. If it gets worse (customer wise), I might just demand to be moved.

Haha. Welcome to retail my friend. I've worked in the grocery business for almost 20 years. I'd like to say it gets better but it really doesn't. Some customers are just plain *******s. They will treat you as a second class citizen. They will also expect you to jump through hoops for them. Luckily this type is a minority. Just don't let them get to you. Walk away and just move on.

Ya. I've never done anything like this before. Luckily this is temporary. I've always avoided this type of people dealing jobs. At most I'd just settle for email/social media which is much better. Quite the transition from this vs my last place which at times felt like I was on OS in real life (in a good way) based on all conversations people had lol.

Sucks at times too because minus cashiers, there's moments I'm one of(if not the) only other person out there. So if someone has a question I can't answer, or has an issue, I'm the one stuck with all of this. Might be part of reason why people are mad, because before getting to me, they probably did spend some time looking for people to help and are frustrated by then after finding nobody.

I'm hoping they can just move me out of the customer part of this. My best work could be done "behind the scenes". I could manage multiple peoples jobs in the back while making those people deal with others. Makes more sense to have more people dealing with customers than in the back.

I know some who are basically in the back all day long. How lucky. Can just do your own thing, being relaxed, not dealing with any of the craziness.

Losing in fantasy when you are the 2nd highest scoring team for the week -_-

Especially when it was a fluke defensive performance for the other guy.

This happened last week to me....this week I lost by .5 points on a point correction/update. Went to bed Sunday thinking I won and woke up Monday to a 1.5 update and loss

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Turned down a job offer at a company I wanted to work for. Circumstances are what made me mad about it.

Applied for a job during the spring at a company I wanted to work, never heard back, didn't think I got it. Eventually I did take another job offer(although it is only until end of the year), even if it's at a job I don't enjoy on a day to day basis. They did guarantee 40+ hours though.

Now recently, I got a call from a recruiter from the company I applied for all those months ago with a job offer(sounded like it was mine if I wanted it). Only issue, it's PT hours and conflicting with the one I have now, meaning even if I took it, the few days they'd have me work would conflict with 1-2 days of my current job. So I'd have to leave my current one to work this one, meaning I'd be losing up to several thousand dollars to end the year.

Sucks too because this was a company I really wanted to work for. But getting stuck with PT hours, maybe 2-3 days a week(and not able to choose the days), had to turn them down.

If they offered more guaranteed hours, even if it was like 30-35 or something, I'd have heavily considered it. Or just have called me before I took the other job, I would've accepted it.

Guess the search continues. Nowhere on that posting did it say part time, so that's what sucks too. Spent my off-day prepping for the interview since they left me a message and when I called they said they'd call me back. They even said if they had FT available, I'd have been able to interview for it. I doubt they'd remember my name if a FT one ever comes up, but you never know...

One of the many reasons I gave up fantasy football a decade ago. All your picks make sense, then your best players decide to get hurt or save their 'down' weeks for when you can least tolerate them. Your opponent has a 3rd string TE go off etc.

I dunno, this one wasn't even weird. Basically he was offered a part time job and declined. This got expanded into longer, more introspective post. There wasn't even any nefarious intraoffice dynamics in this one, so as a reader I feel a little cheated.

Turn up either the weekend before or the week ing following your actual Bday, in which case Birthday festivities can be extended into said weekend.
