That's great. Seriously that's great. But, if you don't want mom's advice don't expect mom's money either.

I would gladly give everything I've amassed thoughout the last ten years (houses, cars, boats) for just 30 seconds of conversation with my mother. When she passed it took over a year for me to get on with life. Don't make the same mistake I did. You only get one mom, love her like she's the only one you get!

I'd be more than willing to accept and listen to advice, but she's not giving me advice, she's giving me ultimatums and commands.

I wasn't planning on cutting her out of my life, but ever since she visited (and hated) BGSU, she told me if I go there, she's not helping me in any way. Won't even take me to moving day. That on top of this whole fiasco is pushing me away, and frighteningly fast.

My advice (for whatever it's worth) sit down and talk WITH your mother. Don't get into a pissing match, just talk. Explain how passionate you are about going to BG and tell her it would really relieve a lot of pressure if she were to jump on board. The main thing is to talk... not argue. Damn I sound like a shrink.

I've tried countless times...literally every day. Today I even called my grandmother to help mediate and make sure things didn't turn south, but they did anyway. It's literally impossible for us to have a rational conversation about anything, let alone college. It's the same thing every time. It starts out rational, she yells, I try to be rational still, she continues to yell, I get pissed and yell. Even if I were to keep my composure, it'd still go nowhere with her yelling. She honestly thinks she has done nothing wrong and has handled this situation perfectly. I've told her that this is what I want and how I can't wait to go and get a degree from one of the 5 best Sport Management schools and to prove everyone wrong, and how all I want is a little support, but she said that she's not going to "do me any favors".

She even told me today that she believes that I'm going to intentionally skip student loan payments to "get back at her". If she co-signs, why would I possibly want to get back at her? Does she think that at 22, 23, 24 that I'm going to be that immature to do something like that? It's things like that which set me off.

Well my suggestion would be start appyling for student grants at this point then. There are a million of them out there that aren't used every year. Just keep your mom close to you no matter what goes down.

Oh definitely, I was planning on getting a job regardless. I'm hoping to get a job sometime shortly also to help save some money, plus I have like $1,000 in savings bonds coming out of the bank soon. It's not a lot, but any little bit helps.

Today is our national holocaust memorial day. So most of the TV channels (except for foreign ones) broadcast special movies and programs about the holocaust. at 10:00am there was a 2-minute alarm, which means that every1 stops whatever they're doing and stand still.

Wow, that is crazy. I can't imagine if America tried to do something similar for 9/11 or Pearl Harbor, etc. It would be a disaster.

You'd have too many anti-protesters or anti-cause people. Love the fact that we have freedom of almost anything, but you cant ever have people support one cause.

Guy (calling his wife): I forgot my bookbag and lunch in the backseat of the car this morning.
Wife says something
Guy: Yes, I have money for lunch.

Just the way he said it all made me laugh. To me it was something a kid at school would say when calling home.

And yes, I am that bored at work that I found this funny.

That's exactly what she can do. She has every right to control you and tell you what to do as long as she is feeding you, sheltering you, and paying for college.
