This is going to sound strange, but for some reason I have this sick craving to smell gasoline at the moment. Not like huff it or anything, but to just smell gasoline.

No, I am not ********, but I just feel like being surrounded by the smell of gasoline...

Kind of like when pregnant women crave pickles, minus the pregnancy.

    And pickles.

              Good News/Bad News for me

The Good: It looks like I got my 9 NFL games in the mail today

The Bad: It didn't go to my mailbox but instead it's at the post office. Luckily i''m going there this afternoon but the customs alone is nearly 16 bucks! "sigh"

Oh well, at least I got something to watch after the Jays game tonight.

US Supreme Court says child rapists can't be executed.

WTF Supreme Court? I am starting to think they like pedophiles with this decision coupled with striking down part of the Internet Decency Act a few years back. Seriously, why can we not put sub-human, wastes of oxygen to death under state action?

"We conclude that, in determining whether the death penalty is excessive, there is a distinction between intentional first-degree murder on the one hand and nonhomicide crimes against individual persons, even including child rape, on the other," wrote Anthony Kennedy, who is of no relation to the convicted rapist.
Death penalty opponents contend, among other things, that it could give attackers a reason to murder their victims. In Wednesday's ruling, Anthony Kennedy agreed, writing, "A state that punishes child rape by death may remove a strong incentive for the rapist not to kill the victim."
What about the incentive to not rape the child in the first place? Seriously this is the *** backwards logic the Supreme Court embraces? Child rapists are the most deplorable people on the planet, but lets not punish them for that. Lets give them the pass, pretend they can be rehabilitated, let them out and let them ruin some more lives. This decision sickens me, it is on par with stupidity in logic of Plessy v. Ferguson, 163 US 57 (1896) (Separate but equal is okay as it pertains to segregating races).

I really, really thought this case would go the other way, but was a 5-4 decision. Maybe we'll get lucky and one of these bleeding heart liberals will leave the court before Bush's presidency is over so this can be remedied relatively quickly.

So we had our company picnic outside of our building today. They had cornhole (bean-bag toss) boards set up. I didn't sign up to play as I figured I would just eat my lunch and go back in to work. As I was finishing my hot dog, I wandered over by the boards to watch. A couple of interns needed a fourth player, so I jumped in. We ended up playing two games and winning both and I impressed several of my co-workers with my cornholing abilities. Turned out to be a good extended lunch.

I don't see a huge difference between high school and college, academically. I mean, some stuff is harder, but some stuff is easier. The real difference is mental attitude.

I don't see how I can't do the same thing in college as I can in the real world, seeing I just kind of hang out with my friends, and play video games, like a lot of you seem to do.

I think that the thing is that it's a bit too cruel compared to the crime, at least in the court's eye.

I think it would be better to do multiple life sentences for these people, instead of killing them immediately.
