I don't think it's crazy either, and like you, I tend to agree with them.

That's pretty much where I am as well.

I've never understood it, but I can respect it, and understand if people get upset do to others using those word.

Saying crap or shoot instead of s*** usually means the same exact thing, yet one is considered profane and is bleeped out on television. I guess I just don't quite get it.
      I think everyone understands that.

The question is why would you teach your children to say these words in the first place? To go "against the crowd?"

"Son, when you get upset, you might say '**** mother ****** *** *****' but make sure you don't say it in public because other people don't like it."

You wouldn't go on a job interview and say "Now that's that **** right there. I would ******' kill for this job." You also wouldn't talk with a business client entrusting you with thousands of dollars this way.

im assuming when you say tag you mean screen name right? really and truly i should have a counter in my sig for the amount of times people feel my opinion is null and void just because of my sig and screen name. if my name was thetruth would everything that i am saying magically be the truth and my opinion would be absolute? no, so why even mention it in the first place.

Re: What's wrong with young men these days?

Well, I am in high school and I can tell you there is plenty of cursing in the school. I hear, "Give me some ****ing fries, bitch." "Yo, you're my ******!" "This shirt is the ****!" "Give me some mother****ing fires"... ect. ect. ect...

I myself have never cursed in public and don't plan on ever doing so. I just think it is rude and there is no point when there are plenty of other nicer and less crude words to say. My parents brought me up to never say these words because I would have gotten a belt whipping probably if I were to use a curse word in front of them or others. I never have, so I do not know, but the punishment would have probably been pretty severe.

I'm not trying to generalize because this is not always true, but usually, the people using these words are ignorant people who have nothing better to say. Not everyone is like this, but most of the frequent cursers are like this who use two curse words a sentence and such like, "Damn right bitch. Give me those ****ing fries because those damn things are the ****."

Mainly, it is just shows a lack of class and respect, especially to do it in front of our little ones and children. You won't find me cursing on these forums.

I would ******' kill for this job." You also wouldn't talk with a business client entrusting you with thousands of dollars this way.
yes because no one when getting upset says any of those words when not in public and try to restrain from using them while in public. oh wait..... besides i said i would not censor my child and educate them on the ins and outs of society and what not. if he or she is not cursing in front of you and is acting like a respectable person with "class" why should you care how im raising my child and telling me not to procreate or breed?

most parents go for the, "im censoring my child until they become of age in which they need to know this or that"(when in reality apparently back in the day everything was almost perfect and today kids and society are all monsters and crime, lack of manners, crazy people, etc... are all double or triple the amount) but the truth is they will learn it from someone else and then they will end up knowing even more than you.

Me im going on the route in which i educate my child and teach him to think for his/her self and not allow the wrong people to influence them. you teach them the words not to go against the crowd but to tell them what they mean and what kind of impact they have on individuals such as yourself.

Well, I didn't see Vick say he would teach his children to cuss, just that he doesn't see it as a problem if they do. He's pretty much just saying that he's going to teach his child to do what many (possibly most) of us do anyway, despite the fact that we were taught to never use profanity growing up.

It would depend on whether or not she was a <ear muffs=""> "earmuffs" bitch.

Good luck with that. I would just recommend then setting some money aside for bail for a rainy day.

That road will lead to a not so nice place, but hey I'm sure the kid will have a lot of friends there blaming evil society for judging them.

They are crass, vulgar and disrespectful bc of something many years ago. Thats true, but we dont just shake that. What about respecting your elders? hitting women? drugs? having a wedding? putting on clothes? Not one of us made the decision to do these things, or call them right or wrong, they were decided many years ago. Sure, we can argue how hitting a woman is wrong, how spousal abuse is terrible, but thats a social norm weve accepted, doesnt mean we should buck the trend just bc we cant trace the roots a la curse words
Check out my Tampa Bay Buccaneers CFM Thread.

You too can be a 5* recruit at FSU.......

respecting your elders, well you really don't have to do that but they are dieing and are feeble so, having a wedding, really no need for that other then the benefits of your relationship becoming law and recognized, putting on clothes, yeah we don't have to but i like my eyes and don't plan on ripping them out, drugs, nothing wrong with them if you get past the whole, they can kill you part, hitting woman, yeah physically assaulting someone is a no brainer, did you know that it actually hurts when someone strikes you with force?

you see legitimate arguments on why these things exist, something that cursing words have none of.

Even though I think the concept of profanity is stupid I wouldn't let my child say that. Hypocritical, I know.
