It is a great state! Glad to hear you are enjoying it so far. Have you gone to the Holidazzle yet? I'm sure the 5 yr old would enjoy it.

The last and longest was Iowa City, Iowa to Tacoma, Washington. My brother and I did it in two days with some town in Montana the overnight stop.

I start my next road trip a week from Monday which will be from Anchorage, Alaska to Arlington, Texas. Which will be around 4800 miles and will take me about 17 days to take it since its also a vacation. Our major stops will be Vancouver, Seattle, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon.

              edit

Just saw that if I went non stop it would take 80 hours and 30 min.

Hmm, that would depend on your definition of a road trip. My last was either going to my aunt and uncles cabin back in 2010 (~80 miles) or going with my mom and sister to pick up my moms new puppy out near Philadelphia (~250 miles).

Longest would be Pittsburgh to N. Myrtle Beach, SC; a trip my family took several times, though not since 1991. More recent beach trips have been to the N. Carolina coast.

Took a train to and from Disney World twice, but I guess that doesn't count as a road trip as it was by rail.

Wyoming is one state that I have no intentions of ever visiting, but I'm curious why you said don't drive through it?

I don't really like driving super long distances that often. The longest road trips I've taken are NC to Connecticut and NC to Florida.

Every other year me and my family vacation in America, and we always do a 2 week road trip. This year we are landing in Arizona as always, before driving up to Vegas (as always), then we're going to do San Luis Obispo, San Fransisco, Los Angeles and Palm Springs before heading back to Phoenix. In the past we've also done Flagstaff, San Diego and Sedona.
