I'm sure McDonalds lost a lot of costumers when Supersize Me came out. Thats when I pretty much stopped eating there. Even though the BigMac is amazing.

That movie was BS. First off, the guy doing it was a vegetarian, and secondly, he admits that he hadn't eaten fast food in years upon years.

So take those 2 forces, combine it with eating McD's 3 times a day for 30 straight days, and of course your body is going to have some negative reactions.

Remember, if his body did nothing, and he wasn't in poor health after eating McD's, then it wouldn't have been a very interesting movie would it?

        My theory about McDonalds is....

Don't "not" eat it because it's unhealthy, don't eat it because it tastes like crap compared to every other fast food joint imaginable.

To be honest, I was pretty hungry when the movie started, and before he began yakking after eating that quarter-pounder or whatever, I just had to eat there after. So, I did.

McDonalds is disgusting, the only reason I go there is to get Mcflurries at 1 in the morning. I don't know how anyone can eat their chicken stuff especially, I wouldn't be surprised if the **** inside the chicken nuggets and chicken sandwiches is paper mache. That stuff is not real chicken.

Apparently the rest of the country doesn't share Blzr's feelings on McDonald's price increases as their sales jumped 7.7% at established locations in the month of November.

Just wait till Blzer is Filibusting and picketing in front of every McDonald's nationwide over how they are bringing down the country because of the 20 cent price hike. They will see their stock and sales fall through the floor.

Oh, and I went to my local McD's yesterday, and the McDouble was on the dollar menu. Maybe he should move my way to save the money..?

Then good for them. I'm still disappointed either way, and I still ask... why didn't they do this earlier if it was so smart? Or better yet, why not increase it another 20 cents? It's just 20 cents, people will still buy.

I'm just asking, does that make sense what I'm saying? Where is the fine line?

Again, if not millions, it's just one person they lost. I'll try the McDouble, and if I find it's still very decent, I will say that they haven't lost me. Either way, if they're so "smart" in doing this, I don't see why they didn't do this years ago. 7.7% is a marginal increase any way you look at it.

Remember, I'm not complaining. I just said that I would move on to another burger joint.

Why don't you go in there and ask the manager.

It's obviously not a corporate wide price increase as evidenced by some of the posts here.

Who knows why? Maybe the recession hit supply costs on that particular location a little harder. Maybe that owner likes to pay his employees more. Maybe the owner is doing so well at that location he decided to not work there and hire an extra manager. Or maybe the southern California cows aren't making the same quality cheese and he has to import it from Wisconsin.

The end state is that you are offered a similar product at the same price or better yet.....the choice not to eat there.

Wasn't really advice, but just a suggestion to get a definitive answer to something that he can't seem to get past.

I know what you're saying though. It would be pretty funny to watch the manager's response.
