Reason being is like someone mentioned on that page. You can buy beer at just about any store here. Beer and liquor is EVERYWHERE so there is not much of a need for specialty shops because 90% of people don't know what a good beer is.

If this place ever closes I am opening my own
Man, there are a million places like that or better around here to buy beer. I feel for you, bro! If you ever come up to Cleveland let me know and I can show you around to a ton of places to get jsut about anything you want on tap and/or bottles to take home.

I was in Cooperstown and Syracuse last week so it was all about the Ommegang with some Yeungling thrown in.

Rare Vos on tap everywhere, Abbey and Three Philosophers back in the room at night, and Witte while waiting for the HOF Induction to begin.

So I tried the Sam Adams Cream Stout since you guys raved about it.

I gotta say I didn't like it. It was more bitter than I expected. Almost makes me wanna just stay with my wines. :/

Ahh Southern Pecan...sooooo good. We just started getting it in the past month or two here in Tuscaloosa and I've probably consumed a case myself.

My new favorite beer of the moment is this...

Not my picture, but it is Tire Bite Woody Creek Belgian White. Tire Bite is one of my favorite breweries but this one is my favorite out of the bunch.

If you've never had Tire Bite, pick up their variety pack. It's a 12-pack of their different beers.

The brewery is actually called Flying Dog.. Tire Bite is the brew... all of their bottle art is done by Hunter S. Thompson's former artist Ralph Steadman (fear & Loathing, etc.). My favorite bottles in all of beerland. Woody Creek is where HST lived his entire life -- after Hunter died, they did a special Imperial Stout that I wish I would've bought and saved... the labels were signed by Steadman.

Yea Flying Dog is pretty good. I like the "In Heat Wheat". There bottle art is really creative and draws attention.

Not much of a dark beer guy??? Cause Turbo Dog is little more bitter and Rasputin is even more "bitter". I don't find them bitter at all and Cream Stout is sweater than most "darks".

It's funny that you mention Old Rasputin because I JUST had a few of them the other day at a restaurant about a mile from my house and guess what? They have it on nitrous tap! Great stuff!

I went to that little joint I showed you back couple post and I was looking for "Dark Lord Imperial Stout" they don't have it. But the guy asked if I ever tried Rasputin. I never have and gave it a shot. No wonder it got rated so high(A on Beer advocate). It is a darn solid beer. Little price for a everyday drinker though, was like 10.00 a 4 pack.

Well hello everyone. I'm brand new to the forum but I couldn't help noticing a beer thread. My favorite beers are craft brews, which include most beer from Stone Brewery, and The Smuttynose and Green Flash IPAs. Also the beer warehouse round my way now has Dogfish Head and Sierra Nevada Torpedo in stock so if you're in the NYC area.....
