      Thanks for the tips guys.

Question.. I understand beers being better on tap, but not sure on bottle vs can. If you pour it out, what's the difference?

They're both Budweiser level beers so...

I'd rather have either than a Bud but not by much. Not bad if you know what to expect.

Liquids aged inside of glass don't retain any of the "metal" flavor as opposed to those that are aged inside of cans. Us guys in our mid-30s and older remember the days of Coca-Cola coming in glass bottles (which can still be found if you look hard enough) and they definitely had a more "natural" flavor than those in a can. It goes the same way with beer, as any carbonated beverage will begin to take on a "metallic" flavor over time.

Ok that's what I was assuming, but that would indicate to me you should always choose bottle over can, no?

In the majority of cases? Yes. In the case of Guinness? No.

Guinness uses a widget in their cans to replicate the taste/feel of a draft beer. While it isn't perfect, it is good.

Oh really? I thought they're supposed to be a step up from those. Guess not.

                It shows.

The Brooklyn Summer Ale was good though.

Lager isn't great. It tastes pretty much like a Yuengling to me which is I'm not a fan of. If this were baseball Yuengling would be the replacement level beer. That or Stella.

I'm a huge fan of their Summer Ale, Pennant Ale, and Brown Ale though. They have a couple of tougher to find beers that are also really good like Sorachi Ace and their Blast! IPA.

It's too late now but you should have also tried some Six Point beers. I know those aren't common outside of the New York area.

There was a bar was on my list that was almost all Six Point but we never got the chance to go.

                    Damn.

Yeah, man. That Yuengling stuff is straight up Pennsylvania swill. It's basically the unofficial beer of white trash Steelers fans everywhere. People were so pumped up that it was finally coming to Cleveland last year and I was just thinking to myself, "Who cares?"

Having said that, I'd rather drink one of those than a ****ing Buttweiser.

Guinness also has nitrogen (that's why it looks so cool when it' settling) and the "widget" is it releasing when you open the can and the oxygen hits it.

BTW canned craft beers are making a comeback. There are some pretty good canned beers out there nowadays.

Different strokes for different folks but they're crap to me. But Brooklyn does make some good beer, just not that one. Brooklyn Brown Ale is the one I think you find in most bars around, and it's not bad.

Got a concert tomorrow night. Figured if I'm going to pregame, i'm gonna do it right. Grabbed a 6 pack of Sierra Nevada Torpedo. Never had it before, but I've really started to acquire a taste for IPA's as of late.
