Ya gotta love some of the names of these beers.

Who comes up with the name of Fat Tyre or Flying Dog Tyre Bite and thinks that's a great name for a beverage?

I once had a beer from Utah named Polygamy Porter.

I would show the label but it would be against TOS (if i remember correctly)

edit: I just looked it up and the official catch phrase of the beer is "Why have just one?"

Just got a variety pack of New Belgium that has 4 beer types with 3 of each. Some of em sound really good and I'll post after trying em out this week

First one- Mothership Wit (Organic Wheat Beer; Wheat malt, coriander, and orange peel spicing- all of which are organically grown) This one I wasnt expecting to like but its pretty good. It doesnt have any bite at the end, its pretty mellow. You can definitely taste some kind of sour-citrus tang in the end.. you can drink alot of these.

1554 from this pack is my favorite now over Fat Tire.

Hop heads check out Southern Tier Unearthly (imperial IPA). Recently arrived in my area and now I can't get enough of this stuff.

Ahh, a thread after my own heart. I've begun brewing my own beer. But tonight, I'll be drinking a Tripel Karmeliet.

Now my favorite beer. "1554; Enlightened Black Ale. Redefines the phrase keeping time in a bottle. From an ancient, crumbling Belgian library book, our intrepid researchers found references to this obscure style dating back to the year 1554. Suprisingly bright taste and a dry, choclaty finish.."

Its not too dry and the choclaty finish definitely is the best part (no bad aftertaste)

I did some sampling last night and here's what I came up with:

                              Guinness Draught
: Underwhelming. I was expecting better. I probably wouldn't buy again at the price.

Abita Purple Haze: Wasn't much of a fan at first but it grew on me as I tasted the others beers and came back to it. I would be it again.

Blue Moon: Probably my favorite beer. No brainer for me, I'm buying it again.

Miller High Life: I've had it plenty of times and it was only about $7.00 for a twelve pack so I bought it. In my opinion it's the best of the popular domestic beers.

Samuel Adams Boston Lager: Very underwhelming. I actually like High Life more. I don't see myself buying it again.

But I have quite a few of each of these beers left so my opinions could change with further drinking.

My father and brother were giving me a hard time for enjoying High Life. I like it, and like you said, under 7 for a 12 pack...not bad.
