Worst moment (tragedy): I was at the Reds Opening Day game vs Montreal in 1996 sitting two rows from the field right behind home when umpire John McSherry collapsed and died. I'll never forget the sound he made when he fell to the turf... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McSherry

Worst moment (ticked-off): Both Xavier basketball games. First, @ Cincinnati in 2006. Sat right behind Xavier's bench. They were a solid favorite and laid an egg. UC won. I nearly decked some guy acting like an *** who got into my dad's face for no reason when we were leaving the Shoe. Second, @ Dayton on Feb. 11, 2009. Read the A-10 thread for details. I was seriously considering whether punching the one idiot behind me was worth spending the night in jail. UD fans are horrible when they beat XU at their place but that was by far the worst experience I've had there.

In no particular order...

Pistons vs. Spurs, Game 5, 2005 NBA Finals - Horry's ****ing shot. That IDIOT Wallace left him alone.

Michigan vs. Ohio State, 2006 - Of all the recent losses to them, this one was the worst out of all of them, and it's not even remotely close. Magnified by Bo's death the day before. Literally felt like a member of my family died.

Michigan vs. Texas, 2005 Rose Bowl - Makes me sick to think that after all the defensive breakdowns, all the pansy-*** playcalling in the 4th quarter by Carr, Michigan was still a fingertip away from winning that game.

Red Wings vs. Avalanche, Game 5, 2002 Western Conference Finals - Detroit won this series (in amazing fashion), but this was an unfathomable loss.

Red Wings vs. Penguins, Game 5, 2008 Stanley Cup Finals - same as above. Won the series, but this game hollowed me out. Still can't watch highlights of it without getting queasy.

Red Wings vs. Ducks, Game 5, 2007 Western Conference Finals - Just terrible. Wings dominate for 59 minutes, get exactly one goal out of it, give up the tying goal in the final minute and then lose in OT on one of the most abysmal giveaways ever. And then they lose Game 6 to be eliminated.

Red Wings vs. Mighty Ducks, Games 1-4, 2003 Western Conference Quarterfinals - four one goal games, three overtime games, all losses. Defending champs get swept.

Red Wings vs. Oilers, Game 6, 2006 Western Conference Quarterfinals - Up 2-0 in the third, they blow the lead. Get it back, up 3-2, they blow it again, and then give up the 4th goal with 1:00 left in the season and Steve Yzerman's career.

Chiefs vs. Bills, 1994 AFC Championship game. Chiefs just got run over by Thurman Thomas.

KU vs MU, 1997 game at Missouri. Only regular season loss that year, and I still remember crying myself to sleep, and not wanting to go to school the next morning.

KU vs Syracuse, 2003 NCAA Championship game. KU shoots 40% from the FT line. Nick Collison with 19 points and 21 rebounds.

- West Virginia blowing a 20 point lead against Louisville in the Elite Eight in 2005.

- West Virginia losing on a last second buzzer-beater 30 foot three-pointer against Texas in the 2006 Sweet Sixteen.

- West Virginia losing on the infamous December night in Morgantown in 2007 against Pittsburgh, resulting in Rich Rod's eventual departure and a national championship opportunity smashed.

- West Virginia's overtime loss to Xavier in the 2008 Sweet Sixteen after leading by as much as six in overtime.

I also need to add Adam Vinatieri's 41 yard game-winning kick in Super Bowl XXXVIII that sent the Cinderella Panthers home with a 32-29 loss.

Mike Tyson getting knocked out by Buster Douglas
It hurt my soul to see Douglas hit Tyson with consecutive haymakers...then when Tyson couldn't make the count because he was trying to get his mouthpiece...ARGHHH! I was eight years old.

Illinois losing to UNC in the National Championship
We were losing big to UNC in the championship game, but we mounted a comeback. For some reason, I thought we could pull it off since we did against Arizona, but our magic just ran out. I even wanna say we tied it up, but Marvin Williams put them up for good on a tip in. Sean May was beasting James Augustine all game.

Bears losing to Indy in the Superbowl
This one didn't hurt that much. I was actually surprised we made it to the Superbowl that year, afterall, we hadn't been there since 1986. First play of the game, Devin Hester scores a TD. I'm thinking momentum is on our side, but I was wrong. Grossman played terrible, and our otherwise stingy D allowed 20+ points. I knew the game was over in the 3rd quarter which is why I wasn't as upset.

2004 AFC Divisional Playoff game.

14 - 2 record. #1 seed.

I was at the game, ready to witness my first playoff victory as a charger fan.

Then, Drayton Florence happened.
Then, Marlon Mcree happened.

I have never heard 68,000 people sound like a total o f5 people in my life

2000 ALDS A's vs. Yankees - Complete implosion in the first inning of Game 5 basically ends the series.

2001 ALDS A's vs. Yankees - Slide Jeremy Slide

2002 ALDS A's vs. Twins - More post season sucking

2003 ALDS A's vs. Red Sox - How can you not touch home twice in the same game?
