Re: What is your WORST moment as a sports fan?

    -The Sonics moving

-Seahawks vs. the refs in the Super Bowl

    -Ken Griffey being traded

    -2002 Apple Cup

-Sitting front row 4 years ago at the Wash State vs. Stanford game. At the time, Stanford was #1 and undefeated with just us and UW to play in the regular season. Matt Lottich hits a game winning three after a skirmish for the ball...basically picked it up off the ground and chucked it off balance. Drains it. I stood with my hands on my head for about 10 minutes. Everyone did. Then UW beat them 5 days later.

You're fortunate. I forgot about the 2007 ALCS - why didn't Skinner send Lofton home?

Armando Benitez blowing game one against the Yankees in the World Series.

Same series...Piazza doing NOTHING after Clemens attacks him with a bat. That team needed a leader.

Giants losing to the Ravens in the Superbowl.

I can't think of many more, but as I get older, I don't care as much so I doubt I'll top any of those.

January 11th, 2004-Packers vs Eagles NFC Divisional Game. 3 words: 4th and 26.

1999 NFC Wild Card Game: Packers vs 49ers. The Infamous Jerry Rice Fumble that was not called which led to us creating the monster that is T.O.

2002 NFC Wild Card Game-Packers vs Falcons. Three words: Michael ******* Vick

Super Bowl XXXII: Packers vs Broncos-As soon as Brett Favre had that incomplete pass on 4th down, I ran in my closet and cried like a little b****.

2007 NFC Championship: Packers vs Giants: Brett Favre's last game as a Packer and his last chance at getting another Super Bowl. Unforeseen when you live by the gun, you die by the gun and that's exactly how our season ended.

-2002 NBA Finals: Nets vs Lakers. Watching us just get steamrolled and watching Shaq just having a field day on poor old Todd McCulluch.

2003 NBA Finals: Nets vs Spurs-Watching Kenyon Martin try to turn into Ray Allen just let me knew that we weren't going to win that series.

                    2005 Elite 8: Illinois vs Arizona-SMH...No Comment.

Duke-Maryland I @ CFH: Also known as "Gone in 60 Seconds".

Duke-Maryland II @ Final 4: The sequel to the first performance.

I think the last 2 were probably hurt the most because of where Maryland's Program was coming from. From being a annual ACC bottom feeder to becoming one of the top teams in the ACC and in the country as well.

If you beat Michigan then you don't have one. If you lose to them, that's your worst moment until the next game.

Oh and how could I forget, more like why did I remember, Lions vs Bears 2000, last game of the season all they had to do was beat the last place Bears to make the playoffs. Then Stoney Case Happened....I went to that game and paid for My dad Grandfather and 2 Uncles. Worst 200+ dollars I ever spent...

Case was notorious in Detroit for perhaps indirectly causing a chain reaction of events that led to the Matt Millen era as Detroit's general manager. During the last game of the season against the Chicago Bears, Case again was filling in for an injured Charlie Batch. With Detroit losing 13-10 at the start of the 4th quarter, Case scampered 13 yards for a touchdown and the Lions went up 17-13. However, Case then threw an interception that was returned 61 yards for a touchdown by R.W. McQuarters, and the Bears went up 20-17, before a Jason Hanson field goal tied the game at 20-20. With possession of the ball and moving into field goal range late in the game, Case fumbled the ball which was subsequently recovered by R.W. McQuarters. The Bears drove the ball down to the Detroit 37 yard line to set up rookie kicker Paul Edinger for a 54 yard field goal, giving the Bears the win. The Lions suffered the loss and their season was over with a 9-7 record. The Detroit media and fans roundly placed blame on Case, whether it was just or not. Had the Lions won the game, the team would have earned a playoff berth for the second season in a row. As a result, owner William Clay Ford immediately reshuffled the front office, resulting in the hiring of general manager and president Matt Millen, the firing of head coach Gary Moeller, and the departure of Herman Moore, Jeff Hartings, and Case.
