Panthers losing the Super Bowl to the Pats in 2003 Super Bowl

I don't remember what year it was, but one final four where Duke could have easily won the game but could not make a free throw to save there life.

1999 NFC Wild Card Game: Packers vs 49ers. The Infamous Jerry Rice Fumble that was not called which led to us creating the monster that is T.O.

Super Bowl XXXII: Packers vs Broncos-As soon as Brett Favre had that incomplete pass on 4th down, I ran in my closet and cried like a little b****.

Me too. Of course, I was only 9 years old at the time... that was definitely my first heartbreaking moment as a fan.

2005 Elite Eight: Arizona vs. Illinois. I've never been more upset about a game in my life.

Following the deaths of Norm Van Lier and Johnny Red Kerr, a part of my childhood died. It will never be the same watching Bulls basketball...

Also, the death of Walter Payton. Arguably the greatest running back of all time, and a true Chicago legend. He died too young (damn rare liver disease). One of the saddest moments for me as a sports fan

1993 I-AA First Round <b>Montana v. Delaware</b> One of the most exciting games I've ever seen. Montana was #1, with it's only loss being a last second loss @ Oregon. Neither team's defense could stop the other's offense. Montana spread v. Delaware's Wing-T. Montana's freshman kicker missed his last XP, leading to Delaware 49-48 victory.

1996 I-AA Championship <b>Montana v. Marshall</b> ...or basically Randy Moss. Quite possibly Montana's greatest team ever, 14-0 entering the championship and got blown out by Randy Moss and Marshall (@Marshall, which is another story).

2000 I-AA Championship <b>Montana v. Georgia Southern</b> Montana's starting QB gets knocked out in the 1st quarter and falls behind big. Backup rallies the team and go ahead in the 4th quarter, only to lose on a 60+ yd TD run by Adrian Peterson (Bears RB).

2004 I-AA Championship <b>Montana v. James Madison</b> The Griz were up most of the game until the 4th quarter when they couldn't stop JMU's running game on the joke of a field in Chattanooga (the field was nearly unplayable).

2006 FCS Semifinals <b>Montana v. UMass</b> Simply put, the coolest atmosphere ever for a game @Montana (Friday night game on ESPN2 for the championship game) lost on a safety.

2008 FCS Championship <b>Montana v. Richmond</b> The Grizzlies picked the worst time to play their worst game all season.

2001 ALCS <b>Mariners v. Yankees</b> 116 wins isn't so sweet if you don't even get to the World Series.

2006 Sweet Sixteen <b>Washington v. UConn</b> I still can't figure out how UW lost that game. I thought B. Roy would lead the team to the Final Four and possibly a championship.

1998 Final Four- UNC vs Utah. The Heels had no business losing this game. It scarred my childhood.

1996 UNC @ Virginia. The closest Carolina has ever come in my lifetime to a "BCS" game, up 17-3 in the 4th quarter with the ball, 3rd and goal. 96-yard pick 6 and the comeback was on. I hate this game, UNC football still hasn't recovered.

1996 World Series game 4. **** Jim Leyritz.

My teams have had plenty of heartbreaking losses, but these stand out.

omfg thank you. i am a New England fan by birth so that superbowl was the first in a while where I really didnt care who won. I said to myself "i am going to watch this game objectively and not root for either team" i have never seen a team try so hard to lose a superbowl and still win. the refs did everything short of making the plays themselves. Big Ben has the worst superbowl performance by a QB. EVER. and still wins. I feel for all Seahawk fans.

Driving all the way through Texas and NM to watch the Longhorns get spanked by PSU in the fiesta bowl. was sitting in the nosebleed section too. ...so weak...

Texas' loss to WSU in bowl game. (GO INTO THE ****ING SHOTGUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

i want to say the 2008 UT@TTU game. but everyone knows that TTU is 100% at home at night under Leach...that combined with the fact that TTU fell apart against OU and OleMiss, and then lost the only decent player to ever come through Lubbock 2 yrs early makes it easier. and the fact that UT still went to a BCS bowl and won in spectacular fashion helps too. thank you for proving that win in lubbock was a fluke TTU! oh and also the fact that Texas is going to hang 50+ on TTU in Austin next season:wink:

Anytime Vince Young went down after a tackle and didnt jump right back up.

ooooh one of the worst ever for me right here. 2005 BCS championship when Aaron Ross( i think...CB #31) muffed a punt and turned it over to USC. I was really really depressed and thought that play would decide the game. luckily, it didnt.

UConn blowing something like a 26 point lead in the 2nd half against duke in 2004 on a buzzer beating 3. This one especially sucked because in hindsight it was obvious what was going to happen but at the time it was like a punch to the stomach. They never did wear those hideous silver uniforms again though so i guess theres a bright spot to that horrific defeat.

UConn losing in the Big East tournament final to Villanova. Oh my god words cant even describe how truly awful this game was not from a UConn fan standpoint but from a basketball fan standpoint. 'Nova tried to do what the men's team did to Georgetown in 85 and it just made for the worst game i've ever seen on any level. I generally dont mind my team losing but please atleast let it be an exciting or good game this was just awful.

Dwyane Wade's shoulder injury against Houston. It was the eve of the deadline and i watched NBA TV that entire day to see if the Heat would get someone like Maggette to help fill in and it didnt happen.

Miami Heat losing to Detroit in whatever playoff game it was in the ECF where Wade injured his ankle. Eddie Jones hit a halfcourt buzzer beater before half time and i thought it was gunna be a good omen but the curse of EJ proved too strong. I hated those Pistons teams, they managed to make a 5 point lead feel like 20 it was so aggrivating.

They were airing that game during intermissions of the UMass hockey game that night in Amherst and then continued to air it after the game was over. That was an insane atmosphere.
