What part of Dallas? I'm in the Ft. Worth area so we're probably both hitting on some of the same girls haha.

This area has a huge supply of cute girls though, so it's not really surprising that some are on dating sites. Someone mentioned every girl being a nurse....I would kill for that. Most of the girls I run into are like hairstylists or some other job where they are probably looking for money since they don't make any.

Texas, like New York, is just gonna be hot women haven. I don't know how some of you guys in smaller areas do it. It's not that there aren't attractive women, but that the ratio is smaller.

And to me, whether there are 1 million males or 100, it's the same. A pack of men acts like a colony no matter the size. Less women to choose from just makes it that much more difficult to find someone you like.


edit: And yes, I know Chicago is where all of the hot women congregate.

I am about 20 miles east of Dallas.

I'll usually skip over musicians and hair stylists.

You have to have filters like this IMO. When I was on dating sites I'd usually want someone with a college degree or at least going through college at the time (some people do it while working).

May sound brutal, but I'm not really going to click with a gas station attendant or someone like that...

If you aren't brutal with your goals then you'll spend forever trying to narrow down the ones that won't work. I learned that the hard way, being nice or going "Oh, I'll give her a shot" just lead to wasted dates and time IMO.

Gonna and try to lure the nurse I'm talking to with Disney movies and Nintendo gaming this weekend. We'll see if she'll take the bait. If not **** it I'm gonna have a good weekend regardless.

LOL I remember some of the fun aspects, meeting new people and whatnot. Then I remember how much of a grind it was...don't miss it at all!

I like being single. Dating can be fun, but like you said it grinds on you after awhile. I like being single, but also like being in a relationship. The in-between is where I don't like wading through.

THIS, THIS THIS! So many females spent hours getting that perfect picture up there because they feel like that's all that matters (and a lot of the fault for that one falls on our gender but whatever). They feel like if you think that they are cute, they got you. Many of them are not used to guy actually trying to see what they're doing with their life or where their head is at or whether they meet your standards.

Ya know, I actually recall me and one of my homegirls talking about her standards years ago and all the guys she turned down because they didn't meet them. So I asked her, "and what happens when you don't meet their standards". She said, "Chris, I look good. I already meet every guy's standards". Interestingly enough she is still single at 30 but that's neither here nor there.

I'm not trying to preach but I'm just saying...... don't waste your time with chics that are dumb, lazy etc. Make it worth your time. I mean, that's if you're not trying to get a sex buddy. If that's the case, get em as dumb as ya can

I love being single.

Only thing that sucks about it, is not having that guaranteed mate to come home to. And no, I'm not talking about sex.

Just in general, I enjoy a woman's company. Being able to share things, and talk and have fun together with a woman you really care about. There isn't anything better than that.

Sometimes you have to sacrifice that though, to get your life in order and figure out what you really need, which is what I'm doing now, although if the right girl came along, I definitely wouldn't turn it down.

I love my fiance (that I met through POF) and the fact that she can be happy with putting up with my strange way (OS at all times of the day/night, video game loving, enjoying sports/wrestling and other weird habits) means that she's a keeper. If I wanted to be single, I would but there's no way I'm trading what I have for a what-if.

If you miss being single, you're either too young to have a true relationship or you haven't found the right one so you might as well as move on.

I agree with this, mostly. I, however, think it is natural for a man to miss being single every now and then. There is a difference between ocassionally wishing you were single so you could do whatever the f you wanted to do and wanting to be single and be out of a relationship.

I can't be the only one that sees that.

Every girl that I've been with that been with, that I have left, all started making me miss being single at some point or another.
