A buddy of mine took me out to eat for my birthday. We went to Gino's East for some Chicago style pizza. We had the meaty legend which consists of Italian sausage, pepperoni, canadian bacon and bacon. It was very good.

I made some pork shoulder carnitas this weekend, topped with some home made guac and a freshly made habanero salsa...I ate about 3 pounds of pork this weekend.

That sounds good. Last night I went all BBQ out. Cornbread, chicken ( I use a rub no bbq sauce), baked beans, coleslaw, the whole 9. My kids tore it up. You know you did good when you cook and the kids devour it down.

Hell yeah, that sounds great. I'm doing a lot of cooking for my graduation party and we're doing a big taco bar setup. My girlfriend's family had the best BBQ restaurant in Denver too, and they're making a bunch of ribs and brisket and their special sauce... can't wait.

Here's my Flickr photostream, which is where I'll be uploading all my food pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/hungrytruth/

Dutch pancake (pannekoek) with cinnamon ice cream.. half-eaten because I forgot I had ice cream and then added some ha:

Monster Burger w/Niman Farms Jamon Royal, white goat cheddar, caramelized onions, tomatoes, and arugula w/oven roasted potatoes/onions:

Big culinary week ahead for your boy Stumble... I'm doing most of the cooking for my graduation party and it's gonna be a big one (75+ people most likely)... here's the menu (anything with an asterisk I'm making):

                        Taco Bar
                        Pork carnitas*
Ceviche-style Fish (lightly sauted before serving)*
                        Chicken
                        Ground Beef
Vegetarian (using Aburaage tofu marinated with the same sauce/spices as the pork)*

                        Taco Bar Sides
Black bean and queso fresco pupusas (served with Curtido)*
                        Calabasitas
                        Black beans*
                        Salad

                        Salsas/Condiments
Salsa roja for pupusas (mild cooked tomato salsa)*
                        Regular red salsa*
                        Smoky Salsa Verde*
                        Pico de Gallo
                        Guacamole
Curtido (Salvadoran cabbage and carrot slaw)*
                        Mexican Crema
                        Queso Fresco
                        Cilantro
                        Limes

BBQ from my girlfriend's family, who used to own the best BBQ place in Denver -- we're having 6 racks of ribs and a brisket

Pork green chile (my aunt's... the best evah)
                        Chicken Posole
                        Winter Vegetable Soup*

Fresh Mint and Dark Chocolate Stracciatella (triple batch)*
                        Cinnamon-Coffee Ice Cream*
Coconut-Saffron Ice Cream (may also have rosewater, honey, and pistachios in it)*
Some kind of berry sorbet (whatever looks good at the store)*
                        Bread pudding
                        Sheet cake

Uh, yeah, so I got some cooking to do. Wish me luck!
