I made 2 racks of ribs the other night, came out perfect. 4 hours in the oven on low heat then 10 minutes on the grill. So good I might make them tomorrow again.

            Bump.

Let's argue/tell me which of these you have not had

            Notes:

-Shrimp Poboy vs. Boiled Crawfish was your actual national championship
-Bread Pudding vs. Beignets, Bread Pudding vs. King Cake, and King Cake vs. Bananas Foster was the hardest stretch of the tournament. An average Bananas Foster is better than an average King Cake, but an excellent King Cake beats an excellent Bananas Foster
-Gumbo vs. Etouffee in the first round was wholly unfair to both, but one had to bounce
-Boudin was missing entirely from the bracket which is trash, but including Bahn Mi over it is absurd

Think it'd be easier for me to tell you which of those I HAVE had. Never even heard of a fair number of those.
Steelers : IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, XLIII
              Penguins : 1990/91, 1991/92, 2008/09, 20015/16, 2016/17
              Pirates : 1909, 1925, 1960, 1971, 1979
              Panthers (FB): 1915, 1916, 1918, 1929, 1931, 1934, 1936, 1937, 1976
              Panthers (MBB): 1927/28, 1929/30

there's only three things I can say with 100% certainty I've had

                roast beef
                ham & cheese
                bread pudding
Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika Christensen

I had my first kidney stone and the doctor suggested that I cut down on sodas.

Told him that is a major lifestyle change that I'm not ready to make yet.
Without missing a beat he said if I keep coming in racking up doctor's bills I'll have to make quite a few lifestyle changes.

Had all but Yaka Mein of the food and a handful of the drinks...I feel that the real champion is whoever is eating this stuff on the regular.

That main bottom left bracket is deadly, it'd be hard for me to choose one as my head and shoulders favorite...also, complete travesty not to have boudin up there

Re: The Food and Beverage Thread

Just tried the much-ballyhooed "Cane sauce" from 'Raising Cane's ' the other day for the first time in my life. It was......good. It might have been one of those things where it has been hyped up too much to possibly live up to, but I thought it was pretty good at least. I was a bit disappointed by the actual chicken fingers, though - they were kinda dried out and over-cooked. But it was an airport outlet, so I hate to judge based on that one experience/location. If I lived somewhere in the country where there were 'Raising Cane's' franchises, I'd definitely go back. The Texas toast was one of the best parts of the box, IMO.

Bottom line? Solid, if unspectacular. Would definitely go back again if I was ever in a part of the country where there were franchises.

Whoppers ice cream, try it. And no, I dont mean the burger, I mean the candy.

Mash it up and mix it in the ice cream.

I know McDonald's and others do this with other candy, but none are as "light"/crunchy as whoppers so it works great with ice cream.

I worked with a guy who had both kidney stones and 6.5 lb tumor in his stomach which require the doctors to crack his ribs to remove. He said emphatically he would rather get the tumor removed again than to ever have to try to pass a kidney stone again.
