Use 2 pieces of newspaper, light and come back in 15-20 and you're good to go.

When I use briquettes this is exactly how I roll.

Although its the same procedure with the mesquite charcoal I use.

Come back when it's ashed over cook like crazy!

Lighting it is easy, but the times I kept seeing said 30 minutes and that was obviously too long. I checked online when I was done and it said that once it gets an orange glow in the middle then its good to go. Conflicting information, gah! lol. Still turned out good. I had a Caribbean grilled steak seasoning kit that I used as a rub for one and just used salt, Lawry's and black pepper for the other. Third time will be the charm I think.

And my meat thermometer somebody had given apparently had no batteries in it so I got to use the touch test. Not too bad. What doneness do you guys usually cook to? It seems like all the recipes cook for medium-rare. Is that usually for the best taste or is that up to the individual?

Just soaked 1 whole chicken in a brine, which consisted of 1 gallon cold water
            1 cup kosher salt
            1/2 cup sugar
            3 cloves of garlic
            1 Tbs peppercorns
            1 Tbs rosemary
            1 Tbs lemon pepper
            talkin' about a moist & flavorful chicken...wow
next...add an all-round dry rub, butterfly the chicken, next sear the chicken on both sides, then move to indirect, let them cook to 165°... let 'em set for 15 to 20 min after removing from grill, It'll continue to cook to about 170° & Bon Appétit

Made myself and others some food.

                Pound of Hamburger
                Mashed Potatoes
                Lil smokies
                Shredded cheese

Fried hamburger on the stove and put it in bowl first, warmed up the Lil smokies in some butter and lemon/pepper seasoning and placed it on top of the hamburger. Fixed the potatoes and spread a even layer on top of the smokies and hamburger. Took shredded cheese and covered the top. The warm in oven or microwave to melt cheese.

                Delicious.

I have a pasta boat, too. I haven't used mine yet, though (it was a gift).

Yeah I hardly use it for pasta, it's a great size for mixing or storing food though.

Drinking some gold peak tea, I love this stuff. Tastes just like Mc Donalds Tea.

Martin's usually has avocados 3 for 5, which in turns results in me impulsing buying them.

What are the health benefits of potassium? I buy the "Naked" brand fruit drinks occasionally and usually get the ones loaded with vitamin C, A, etc. Had someone pick some up for me and they were all high in potassium with 0 vitamins.

I've heard bananas are supposed to help with blood pressure. Basically a banana and apple a day are apparently very beneficial.

It's good for blood pressure and cramping.
