Having tried them both if you want to get as lean as possible and have 70 days i would do insanity. It's crazy and lasts for 60 days so you could do the whole program before your trip and be ripped for CR.

Ok, I need some advice from people who have done this before. I really want to try p90x as I've gotten out of shape and I really want to strengthen my core, specifically for my golf game.

The problem is I have some past injuries and medical issues that might make some of the exercises difficult for me to do. I've read where guys have "modified" the workouts to get around those issues and I feel like I could probably do that as well. The main concerns come with my knees and hips. I've had 4 knee operations, but the only real problem I have with them is aching and arthritis after prolonged activity. That's something I can deal with. My hip is my biggest concern because too much jumping around on it is not good for it. I watched some of the plyo workouts and I could probably do the majority of them, even if I had to tone them down. But the lifting my leg over the back of a chair will be next to impossible.

Any advice or suggestions? I'm kinda getting excited about trying it. My core is beyond weak right now and I'm pumped at what this could do for my overall health and making me feel good, not to mention how much it will help my golf game.

Man I "got" those P90X DVD's and haven't looked at them since. I am in shape but I just haven't gotten around to using them for some reason. Maybe one day. I am not desperate (not saying anyone else is)

If you have knee/hip problems I would probably skip the plyo workout. The rest I think you'll be able to manage just fine. Cardio X is agood alternative to plyo (although it does have a few plyo exercises including the swing kicks over the chair).

Thanks. I already found P90X brand new for a good deal so I'm going to hit up that one first. If anything I need something to spring board me into the craziness Insanity sounds like. I'm in pretty good shape...but it looks rough.

1st day of P90X was good. It's not a killer workout, it's just pushing yourself to failure on pretty much everything. When it comes to push ups/pull ups...that isn't much for me! I'm sore as **** right now haha

Koolie, just do what you can the first time through. Then make notes of what exercises you were unable to do. Then the next time through, just fast forward past that one. Better to do some then none at all.

I had one yesterday, it's really not that horribly bad for you in comparison to other stuff. Then again I am on like the 3,000 calorie diet

Just get the grilled option

Day 3 of P90X in a little bit. I am pretty sore head to toe honestly. Plyo wasn't too rough but I've been lacking in my lower body lifts.

Little over 3 weeks in and I have had good results so far.

I started at 165. I was in good athletic shape and was looking more to cut up and bulk up. In little over 3 weeks I have had wonderful results. Went from 165 to now yesterday I weighted in at 173. So that is right around 8 pounds gained. That is right at 2.6 lbs a week gained so far.

I have noticed a nice increase to my max. I would say 3 or 4 more reps from start.

I am using.

- Mass Gainer
- 100% Whey protein
- Creatine
- Jack3d (Amazing)
