 Re: P90X

Well, my hip is still not back to 100%. I've done all the upper body workouts, but skipped any leg workouts and modified the ab workout to things I could do and not injure my hip. I guess I may have to just make Phase 1 last for 5 weeks instead of 4. I think I'm close to being recovered, but I don't want to try and jump back in too early. I'm gonna play golf this afternoon and see if it feels any better.PSN: Koolie_G

 Re: P90X

No. Women do it young and old. They have modifed version for EVERYTHING.

I could only bench like 165 once when I started and was out of shape and I got through it. You just do what you can do.Comment

 Re: P90X

I'm thinking I may just start all the way over. I've been off for almost 2 weeks while letting my hip heal. It is not 100%, but it is good enough where I can do most of the exercises again. I've got a golf tournament this weekend and I'm gonna start back up on Monday. I really wanted to start back yesterday, but I figured I was playing pretty good golf and didn't want to get sore before the tourney.

I have still been sticking to the diet fairly well. I've lost 10 pounds in the 3 weeks. I've not deprived myself of all eating out however. But I am smarter about what I order and I don't have soda's anymore if I can help it. I was drinking at least 4 or 5 cans of Mt. Dew a day before I started P90X but haven't had one since. I'll stick to Coke Zero if I get a craving for a carbonated drink.PSN: Koolie_G

 Re: P90X

I'm back. I started this morning and I'm just gonna start over from scratch and go through the 90 days. I'd missed almost 3 weeks with an injured hip, so instead of picking up where I left off, I'll just start over.

Chest and back was good this morning. Got a good sweat going and feel pretty good right now. I'll be sore tomorrow, but it is good getting back in the swing. Just gotta keep telling myself to get outta bed in the morning and press play. Gotta do work. Let's go.PSN: Koolie_G

 Re: P90X

The issue with P90X is that it is a big time commitment. If you can make time in your schedule it's awesome. You will definitley lose fat if you work pretty hard and eat decent.

Good luck to all in achieving fitness goals!Comment

 Re: P90X

I just started this last week. The leg workout makes me sweat like I've never sweated before. I think it's called Polymetrics X.Comment

 Re: P90X

That's the hardest part of the whole thing for me. It's well over an hour each workout once you add in the Ab ripper X and with work, the wife and daughter and everything else we need to fit into every day it's hard to find the time. No doubt it works and the 10 weeks of it i did was fantastic.

Yeah the plyo workout is great, really gets the heart rate flying!Comment

 Re: P90X

The time commitment can be tough. I know for sure I will not do it after work because I go to the golf course. I'm definitely not doing it after that. So I've had to become a morning person. I get up at 5:45 and just tell myself I gotta press play and take the pain. I think I like the fact that I can listen to my iPod about as much as I like the fact that I'm getting healthier. I get tired around 10 p.m. now, which is at least an hour earlier than I used to go to bed. Once NCAA 11 comes out and I'm trying to play my online dynasty games, I may get a little less sleep, but it will be worth it. PSN: Koolie_G PSN: Koolie_G

 Re: P90X

On week 2 (for the 2nd time). I am kind of modifiying the routine a little bit. I am not doing much of the leg workouts because I'm being cautious with my hip injury, although I am doing Plyo, which might not be smart. I am also not sticking directly to the schedule they have. I took an extra day off this week. I think for my body type and my physical limitations, that this is probably a more productive way of getting in shape for me. 6 days a week will probably break my body down before too long. I'm getting old. Maybe I will call it P110X.PSN: Koolie_G
