I have to admit that I took the whole weekend off... Saturday is usually my "rest day" but I made today one as well. Had a pretty rough headache and my body was telling me to not push it.

This will make my new rest day Sunday, rather than Saturday... Which I like. I'm excited to start week 3 tomorrow and hit it hard.

DAY 1 IN THE BOOKS!!! (Remember I am doing P90 regular)

Yay I started. For me that is the big step. Did the wrong one to start so I did cardio and ab ripper first day. I did not complete everything but I kept moving the whole time.

I am all shaky and sweaty but feel pretty good. I got dizzy and lite headed once at about 3/4 of the way thru. Only lasted for a few seconds stopped and caught my breath and drank some water then right back to it. My heart rate got up to about 140 and again felt good at the end (In that crappy I have been a couch potato for 2 years way LOL)

Tomorrow is sculptnig and weights which is what I was supposed to do today.

I finished P90X back in November and I've been just working out at the gym since then, but I want to change it up. Have any P90X grads here redone P90X, try P90X 2, or a new workout?

Week 1 day 2 in the books.

Weights and sculpting today. I haven't done that many push up since the Army. Wow my arms are burning. Feel better at the end today than I did yesterday.

Week 1 Day 3 Back to cardio and still had some juice left so I did the AB ripper to. Really starting to get into this. Not doing the reccomended diet because it is not enough calories for me. Food really isn't my problem I eat healthy I am just lazy. So I have upped my protien intake and cut a few carbs and no junk.

                Re: P90X

Hit a little lull over the past week or so, with zero motivation. Not sure what happened. City league basketball has really taken over so it's been tough to do both. I'm still plugging through most of the workouts, but over the past 3 weeks I've probably skipped 5 days. Not good.

I have Legs and Back tonight which is my least favorite of all. My knees have flared up lately and I'm pretty sure I have fluid on my knee that I need drained. It makes the workouts tough since I'm in discomfort/pain almost the entire time.

Well make sure you eat right if you can't work out.

I'm starting Week 2 today. Chest and back followed by Ab Ripper

Most definitely. Took my pictures after 30 days and even though I haven't lost as many lbs as I hoped, the difference is dramatic. My face, neck, and upper body look quite a bit thinner.

                      Re: P90X

Well guys, I've made a decision and I think in the long run, it will be for the best.

I have missed three days now. I am going to just mail this week in and start the program over this coming Monday.

My back has been giving me quite a bit of problems lately. It's very stiff and very uncomfortable. This sucks for me, but taking this week to rest is the right call. I am going to do the stretching DVD at least twice before Monday.

This sucks! My back has always given me problems and it's best for me to not push it. I have still kept my diet VERY clean and have lost 10 pounds during my first two weeks of P90x.

The way I see it, or perhaps the way I justify this to myself is that I introduced my body to this program over the last two weeks. Beginning Monday, I'll know what to expect a bit and can plan a lot better. I will finish this program because in two short weeks, I've seen what it has done for me. It's been amazing and I am excited to begin again in four days.

I really want to push through and just do it now... but I know I might regret it later and I just really don't want to push the envelope with my back. Being out of commission completely would suck and I've learned from my past mistakes.

Since Monday, my back feels much, much better. I was having to stop Ab Ripper X completely due to my back. I just don't think that was smart.

These are a lot of words explaining why I am going to start over, because it sucks.

                      Looking forward to Monday.

What kind of back issues? Are you stretching your back before and after?

Chest and back went well last night.

Did 10-10-10-8-8-5 for the pull ups. At my size I'm pumped about my progress in that aspect.

Plyo tonight. I just gotta get in the garage and do it. After a 12 hour day it's tough to find the desire!

Probably for the best in the long run. It's pretty straining to jump straight into the program from doing nothing. GL with the Monday restart!

Thanks I need that! When I watch the video and they crank out 25 on each set I feel worthless!

I can hardly do pullups so I use a chair which helps me maintain form and get more reps, even if I have a little assistance.
