Having To Change The Water Bottle At Work Unappreciation
Man I HATE this. There are like 3 black dudes at my job. We are the only ones that get emails requesting to change the water jug. I delete them on site. And the thing is, the woman (one person) that sends them is like 6'2 - 200. I am like come on now. I never do it for her. Especially considering I never drink from the cooler near her deskConcrete evidence/videos pleaseTags: None -

It has a LOT to do with the situation. She was just in the damn military and she is talking about the water jug being too heavy for her. Every other woman there changes the bottles, she is the biggest woman on the job.
5'3, 5'4 130 lbers are at work changing the cooler when it needs to be changed. Why is SHE requesting a change as big as she is.Concrete evidence/videos pleaseComment

See, that changes things. I had no idea she just got out of the military.
Anyway, I would simply reply saying: "I'm busy at the moment, could you please do it?"
If she doesn't, then you might want to confront her. This seems like one of those problems that won't stop unless you do. Although you don't want to do anything too crazy, there's no sense getting in trouble over refilling the water cooler.Comment

And "other me" (if you know what I mean) don't even bother changing it. She KNOWS this and even SAID it one day. Why am I getting emails sent to me asking me to do it. She never asks me face to face so I don't have to talk to her about it. If she speaks to me face to face then I will.
But if I am the only one there that day, she sends an email, it will go unchanged for a long period of time before it gets changed because I refuseConcrete evidence/videos pleaseComment

DC,you're a better man that me. If that was me I'd send her an email back saying "*****,my name ain't Kunta." That would be the end of that. And "other me" (if you know what I mean) don't even bother changing it. She KNOWS this and even SAID it one day. Why am I getting emails sent to me asking me to do it. Then again, something like that would probably get you fired. So yeah,I think it's best the way you're handling it.Comment

Dude I may sound harsh, but just man up DC. It would be the polite thing to do. It may agitate you that she is capable of doing it and constantly calls on you to do it, but if for some reason you don't want to be kind to this person, at least do it for her because she served this country we live in. I don't think this is such a big deal DC, just do it out of kindness if not for her, then the other people that use that cooler.Man I HATE this. There are like 3 black dudes at my job. Besides I used to do it at my old work all the time, it's not like it's hard to change it.Comment

She's clearly lying to you if she says she isn't capable of changing it, so don't do it. Why help a liar and give in to her crap?
Send her an e-mail asking her why she won't do it.Bears | Bulls | Cubs | Illinois | #Team3Some

That's beside the point - bitch has gotta learn how to do **** for herself instead of e-mailing (WTF) requests to change the cooler. How lazy can you be?Dude I may sound harsh, but just man up DC. There is a difference between being polite and kind and then letting people get away with ****. DC can be polite, but that doesn't mean he has to "man up" and do whatever this woman asks him to do. Being polite does not translate into letting people walk all over you.

Damn the e-mail. Walk over to her desk and tell her big *** to get up and change the damn thing herself.
E-mailing people to do something SHE doesn't want to do. Are you ******* serious?#RespectTheCultureComment

By the time she writes the email and sends it out she could have changed the damn thing herself without wasting everybody's time.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment
