Re: OS Pups Thread!
My condolences to you, Matt.
And I remember looking back at her and saying "the fact it hurts so damn much is proof it was worth it." I truly believe that.Comment

Re: OS Pups Thread!
We took our oldest dog, Short Dog, in today for his yearly shots and a checkup. He and been having some difficulty breathing while sleeping lately and when the doctor listened to his heart she said that it was kind of muffled.
She did an X-Ray and one side of his heart is extremely enlarged and he has what looks like fluid in his chest and lungs. She gave us some meds to give him over the next few days and they're going to monitor him for us next week since we're kenneling him there anyway. Next Friday they're going to do another X-Ray to see if the meds cleared it up any. If not, the we'll have to schedule and appointed to a cardiologist.
This is my wife's pit bull that's she's had for 12 years and has been in my life for 5 and a half years. If there is something there I'm not sure if there is much we can do anyway, except make him more comfortable. I'm hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. Just please keep him in your thoughts. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: OS Pups Thread!
Well I might be getting back into the pup game. There are a couple chocolate labs at a local lab rescue/breeder that we're planning on checking out later this week. Keeping my fingers crossed that things work out.Battle.net: xXKING08Xx

Re: OS Pups Thread!
He lets out a loud, dry cough every now and then, but besides that he doesn't show much signs of being sick. He can't jump on the bed anymore and he can barely get on his chair, but considering his age I don't think that's too uncommon.
We haven't talked much about it over the past month, but I guess our game plan is that if as long as he continues "as is" we'll just let him be. If he starts going downhill we will take him back to the vet and see what they can give him to make him more comfortable while he's with us.

Re: OS Pups Thread!
He's still doing okay. We chose not to bring him to the cardiologist because our vet basically told us that there's really nothing they can do and it would just be for educational purposes. She gave us some meds to help clear up the fluid around his lungs and other than that we just give him a Senior Dog Vitamin.

In the grand scheme...I'd say that's pretty good.
Thanks for the update.....looking forward to the pics!
