My wife and I had to say goodbye to oldest baby today. It's really sad and I miss him a lot, but I'm glad that he's not in pain anymore. Short Dog was the best dog anyone could ask for and I'm thankful that I got to be his dad. RIP old friend.

Yeah, we batted around some names for a couple of days. Hamm was up there, I tried pitching Hordor as an ironic "Tiny" for a big guy type of name, but the wife wasn't having that. Tater was a front runner as well. Then Frodo popped in my head as we were getting ready to go fill out the adoption papers. It makes perfect sense because he's short, has the huge feet like a hobbit and he took a unexpected journey into our hearts...

It was an unexpected journey for Frodo, too.

Gemma got her name thanks to that popping up in my head as we were filing out the paper work. I hope she doesn't stab me in the head with a meatfork someday.

Posted a similar photo in the Christmas thread, but here's a couple photos of the mistreatment my pups had to endure today.. the dreaded Christmas photo!

The first pic with Howie leaning to the side with the Santa cap hanging in his eyes cracks me up. You can tell he's a player.

What kind of dog is that? Looking good!

He's a morkiepoo. Maltese Yorkie and poodle mix. Non shedding so that's pretty sweet. But he's a clown. He won't poop outside if it's raining and it's been a rainy fall.

I thought it was something like that. I have a schnoodle (schauzer poodle mix) and I badly want to get a morkie at some point.

And yeah, my schnoodle doesn't dig the rain either. She'll usually just run outside, quickly see how bad the rain is, and turn around and run right back in lol.
