Even worse is when they do that, end up buying it and then post about how horrible it is.
I agree with whoever posted that you don't really see this trend in the NHL, The Show, etc forums. This is almost exactly why the Madden forum has gone to hell. Every second post is some annoying comment like "I'm done with this game. I'm sick and tired of Madden/EA stealing $60 from me", or a backhanded comment directed at Ian or EA about how they don't put effort into the game and on and on and on.
The first comment frustrates me to no end when you can just go and rent, gamefly, etc. It seems like a lot of people here are too quick to spend the money on the newest game on the 1st day and in the end they wish they had never bought it, then they feel the need to come on here and tell all of us this.
I'll be honest, I've had a few moments like that where I'm quick to buy a game in the first week/day and I end up regretting it but I don't feel the need to preach to a thousand people on here that they shouldn't get the game or to stop buying a certain companies game. This is why I've started renting games (more specifically sports games) more often.
Look at NBA 2K10 for example. As tempting as it was to buy it 1st day, I went to Blockbuster and rented it. Sure enough there were all those bugs and glitches that popped up in the game and we had to wait a little while for a patch to fix these issues. While some people were tripping out about "I spent $60 on this game and can't play it until the patch comes out!", I gladly went back to Blockbuster on the due date and took the game back. I'd much rather spend $10 on a game to see if I like it than spend $60 (in Canada its closer to $80 after taxes) and be stuck with a game that I don't like or has a bunch of glitches that ruin the game.
