I don't think we'll ever blow each other up.
But I can see us poisoning the water, air and soil enough to really screw things up. We're already well on our way to doing that.

Hopefully we can turn things around.

As the sun ages it will become hotter and will in turn heat up the Earth. In about 1-2 billion years the Earth will become to hot to sustain life and the oceans will begin to evaporate. A few billion years after that the Sun will exhaust the hydrogen fuel in its core and swell to a red giant engulfing and incinerating Mercury, Venus, and possibly Earth.
