And a non-spider story. I was dive bombed by a kamikaze moth my 2nd year in college. I was sitting at my desk studying when I feel something smack against the back of my head and look up to see this moth fluttering towards the ground near my tree lamp where I later found it dead.

Haha damn Burg did you have a light on your head or something. This reminds me of a story; Every damn summer down here in Florida we get these evil, possessed flies. And I just want to kill them all, these things "no lie" will follow you for a mile bumping into you and biting you, it doesn't matter if you swat them away 10 times they keep following you, it's ridiculous. They are one of the most annoying things I have ever seen.

I hate bugs man, they just piss me off and spiders lol

I really hate spiders, but I don't really have a story about one. Although, I was in Morocco this summer and have a couple gross stories from that (I hate all insects, hate them).

Me and my buddy are friends with this girl from France, and her family owns this really nice condo in Morocco, so we were privileged enough to stay there, as Africa can be pretty sketchy. One night I was trying to sleep, I stress trying since it was so damn hot. Anyway, I'm lying on my back, it's pitch black and I'm just about ready to doze off when I feel someone drop onto my face. I'm not talking like a fly or something, this thing had some girth to it. No idea what it was, I just freaked out and swiped whatever it was away. Needless to say it wasn't easy going back to sleep after that.

Second, we were eating dinner out on the balcony (still in Morocco), and we hear something drop onto the umbrella that's hanging over us. It wasn't loud or anything, but something definitely fell on it. A second later, I catch a glimpse of this thing fluttering down towards us. Before I could react, it drops into my cup of water. To my surprise (and I do mean surprise, since I'm from Northern Ontario) it's a freakin' praying mantis. They clearly can't swim too well, but it's kung fu stance and beady red eyes looking up at me was enough to give me shivers. We quickly disposed of it over the ledge of the balcony, but I switched to the other side of the table after that.

Looking back it was awesome seeing one so up close, scared the crap outta me at the time though haha.

I remember when I was around 12...We had to go to a camp for a week for school. There were 4 kids to a room with 2 bunks. We all faught who wanted the top bunk (I of course got it)

My friend Westen also got the top bunk as well. When me and Weston woke up the other 2 were starring past us...Me and Weston looked at eachother and both looked at the direction they were looking at. There was a spider exactly 2 feet away from us on the wall...It was the biggest spider I ever seen. When we realized it was there...We gave a 10 second stare and we both screamed at the same exact time and both fell off our beds.

It was one of the more memorable stories of my life.

This past Christmas, I was opening up a gift from my parents, and after pulling the wrapping paper off a quarter-sized spider came running out. I jumped and screamed like a little girl and used my new desk calendar to squish it. Made a big popping sound when it was squishified. Made me very careful when opening the rest of the presents.

Where I live in Ohio, it's not too bad with spiders and such, but I just had to google a brown recluse, because I had no idea what it was.....

Hell no!!! I would freak out if I saw one of those!

My old landlord lives out in the country, and he said that there will be big spiders on the wall, and when you go toward them, they turn and look at you. I'd move...

I was able to get my cat to move out of the way before the spider could drop down. It finally dropped down near my TV and PS3. We had some ants in the house at the time and the spider was just chilling there until some dumb ant decided to tap its leg. The spider freaked out and ran into my bookcase, where I was finally able to trap (and perhaps crush it, although I have never checked since) with my textbooks there.

??? Why didn't you just kill it while it was creepin up walls and ceilings instead of just watching it creep up walls and ceilings?

Well, it was right near my desk and there's a bunch of stuff there. Plus, I didn't like the idea of cleaning the mess/remains of a spider that was big, round, and larger than an inch. Also, I didn't have anything I could kill it with that.

Nothing wrong with trying to get rid of it without killing it, but I guess you can say with the end result of my story, I should've jumped to square 1 right from the get go.
