Re: Spider in my bed
I have no problem saying that I'm arachnophobic. I hate spiders, they freak me out. I'm kinda glad I live in Canada, I haven't seen a big one since I was in middle school.
Reminds me of summer camp when I was a kid. I was playing around with friends and a girl I liked at that time. We ran into the forest, played around for a bit, then ran into the baseball fields. I remember stopping for a sec, turning around and seeing a huge (size of my fist now) spider crawling on my shoulder. Scared me ****less, couldn't move until a supervisor came by and knocked it away and killed it. Those things are so damned ugly, I hate them.
Hell, I barely clicked on this thread afraid that there would be pictures. My arachnophobia was so bad at one point I couldn't watch TV with spiders on them, or even videogames with spider enemies. I kinda 'man'd up' since then, but it was pretty bad at a point.Comment

Re: Spider in my bed
I don't exactly have arachnophobia. I simply just do not like spiders. It's not like I have a hard time looking at pictures of them, or seeing a movie with them, etc. Or if I was walking my dog or something and saw a huge spider on a tree, I'd probably just look at it and walk away. I'm not really fearful of them. I just don't like them. If one was crawling on my bed and I saw it, he's going to die. That's about the gist of it though. Not really scared of them, just don't like them.Indianapolis Colts

But when I was younger I was terrified of spiders, never let any of them live lol. When I was living in Indiana, in my room their was this bookcase on the wall and I noticed a big spider behind it one day, I couldn't get it without moving the bookcase, so I move it and to my horror their are a bunch of spiders back their and one just had babies, I was pretty freaked out, so the baby spiders went running everywhere, somehow I killed them all, and the others, and I was just wondering where the hell are these things coming from? Then I saw what the problem was their was a slightly large crevice in the wall, so I patched it up, and I never had a spider problem again, that was fun.Comment

Re: Spider in my bed
Ah man you just made me think of another story. I used to have this friend who lived out in a place called Defuniak Springs, out in the boonies you know. Well it was the first time I ever went to his house, So were tossing around the football and stuff and I notice something on the outside of his house, and I'm like is that a Black Widow? Nah can't be, then I get closer I'm like Damn that's a Black Widow, so I'm like Dude you have a Black Widow on the side of your house. And all casually He says "yea there's two on the other side I killed earlier and there's one on the porch under the grill". So I'm from the city and I'm like what the hell, does he know what these things can do to you? Lol I was really shocked, just an everyday thing for him, dealing with Black Widows everyday. Apparently, I read that Black Widows are attracted to Stone walls, which coincedentally is what his house was made of, I was under the impression that they just liked secluded areas away from humans, not so at all. Don't get a stone house in the Boonies CodeBlue lol.Last edited by jetercanoturn2; 02-05-2010, 12:42 AM.Comment

Re: Spider in my bed
I realize everyone will hate me if I bump this thread, but I was all set for bed, I worked out, showered, ready to get under the covers.
Then out of the corner of my eyes, I see something moving..
And my reaction isWhat the hell is that?
To my horror,it is a huge spider dangling off my damn ceiling fan over my bed.
Well it's that damn time again, the spiders are back.Comment
