I agree but I simply did that because I wanted to know what people thought about her saying that. If I anticipated wanting to resolve anything with her I wouldn't have done that. The truth of the matter is I don't really know her that well and after seeing that sort of behavior I never really would.

Oh and just to kind of add a capper to the whole story, my sister's boyfriend's 10 year old daughter wrote me an email and said I was g-a-y and she thought I was dumb, no doubt thanks to some sort of influence from what her father said about me. Nice to see my sister's b/f have the same sort of class he does eh?

I figured you would have something nasty to say... Honestly I think you can agree or disagree with me posting that email but i don't think petty is a very good analysis of what I did. I think considering what was sent to me retaliatory may be a more accurate description. I do agree I shouldn't lie down in the mud with them but it seems my choices are to either do so or sever ties. I am leaning heavily toward the latter.... As someone here said I don't really like most of them anyways, I mostly only even try because they are blood but it's not worth the aggravation I think...

I would have done more than just post the e-mails on Facebook, but that's because I'm a petty, vindictive *******. Honestly though I'd cut off ties with them for a while, not permanently of course, but it's clearly not beneficial to your sanity to keep them in your life for the time being.

My christmas was hell to.

Me and my mom have not been seeing eye to eye the last few years especially after my dad died. The man she cheated on him with was present on Christmas day. I was going to go to her house until I heard that. I live with my sister and all she was doing was crying. I went to my moms house and I punched the guy and said I hated my mom and wrecked a chair that's been in our family for years.

Christmas was ok nothing special, right after Christmas was awful though. Became sick with the flu, and could barely move and felt like crap for 4 days straight... still not feeling 100%.

It is not about that. It is YOUR attitude. Sure what she did was wrong, but YOU didn't help that by what YOU did. I know you want to give those kids some kick *** gifts, but why? Yeah I plan to leave them all alone. Right now I plan to indefinitely. Who knows if it will change in the future but for now i'm done with all of them. For awhile it's just my dog and me and it will be quiet, except for the occasional barking at the post man of course..

ProjectRipCity - wow, man, you sound like you had it really bad this year. You most certainly have my sympathies and I can completely relate.

Whoah. Christmas used to be a really tough period for my mother and I since my dad was an alcaholic and was especially abusive around the holidays.

Odogg maybe jealousy play's a factor here. Is there a chance that maybe you got the kids better gifts than your sister or her boyfriend. So they were angry about that?

I do think you're right, I think that it's more of an overall issue of my sister resenting my success while lamenting her own plight. It's her own fault though, she had a great job at the hospital (with full benefits and everything) which she quit to tend bar 2 days a week so no wonder she has no money or any sort of career. She is simply lazy to be blunt. She'd rather just get by than work. But then when she sees others with more than her she feels it's "unfair" and resents others for having more.

On a related note I asked her if it was ok if I got my niece an iPod touch and the first thing she said was "I don't even have an ipod at all". To which I replied "well maybe Paige will let you have her ipod nano then"..then silence...and finally "ok, that's cool". I know she was both feeling glad she'd have an ipod but also probably a little unhappy her 13 year old was going to be giving her the hand-me-down ipod.
