I'm paying off the back taxes I owe from last year. Yeah, it may sound lame but I'd much rather prefer to not have the money come out of my pocket directly.
What are YOU going to do with your tax return money ?

I'm getting like $2200 back. I'm going to pay off my credit card, buy my fiancee and my self a nice outfit, put some towards our upcoming wedding and put the rest in savings (I'm trying to build that 3 months worth of expenses in savings).PSN: xxplosive1984Originally posted by J. Re: What are YOU going to do with your tax return money ?

Just finished our federal & state returns and we're getting a nice chunk of change back. Wish we could spend part of it on something stupid... but we need to pad the savings for buying another house and pay off our "emergency" credit card. Being a responsible adult sucks...Comment

Know how you feel QB. We just paid off our emergency credit card, doctor bills, and socked away the rest for mortgage supplement. The subway sandwich I was hoping for never even came into play unfortunatley. Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Emergency credit card is not even in my vocabulary. I don't use credit cards anymore at all. The last time I used one was 8 years ago.Comment

Credit cards are great if you know how to use them. We get hundreds of dollars cash back for absolutely nothing. Just have to pay them off each month.Comment

Yep. If you can pay them off each month and resist the temptation to buy a bunch of stuff that'll get you in debt, they have some nice benefits.Ryan Spencer

Re: What are YOU going to do with your tax return money ?

I am so pissed. I filed on Jan 17th and was supposed to get my refund on Jan 29th. Well it didn't come. Now it says its still processing and has a code 1301 on the where's my refund site. Called the IRS and they said its in error resolution. Still nothing as of today. Comment

Re: What are YOU going to do with your tax return money ?

I'm not getting anything this year. Sucks too. Last year I got a good 1500 dollars. Spent about 350-400 on some new gaming equipment for my 360. Bought a 22 inch Viewsonic monitor. It's a computer monitor for most people, but can be used for a 360/PS3/WII. It's awesome and one of the better gaming monitors out there. Spent another 100 on a pair of Turtle Beach headphones(HPX's) for my 360. Love them. If you're competitive gamer and are into COD or Halo or any other FPS/shooter game, like myself, I'd strongly recommend getting those(or even astro's). You can hear exactly where people are when they shoot. You can hear enemy footsteps. It helps a ton. Pretty cool. The rest of the money went into my bank account.Indianapolis Colts

Re: What are YOU going to do with your tax return money ?

I'm a college student and there are some credits for that, so I'm hoping to pull in about $1500. I'm undecided on what I'm going to do. I could wipe out my little bit of credit card debt, buy my self-inflicted elusive PS3, or some new gear.

Still like every year, a chunk of it will go into my savings.Comment
