    Good luck man!

I'm amazed at everything so far. Looking in the mirror, I can see my body taking shape now. Upper body has slimmed down a little bit, I can fit into the next belt buckle, and honestly, my legs look ripped already. And this is only after 1 week!

I am nursing some rather sore arms today, as I was able to actually get through the end of the plyo cardio workout, where the last portion of the workout has you either doing pushups/burpees or plank position in and outs/ski abs. Definitely works on the shoulders, along with just tiring out the rest of the arm completely.

Back at it tomorrow! Sure was nice to have a rest day today.

Awesome Kearnzo sounds like it's an *** kicker but in a good way!

I am pretty sore from 8 hours spend landscaping yesterday (carted about a tonne of bricks, digging holes for 4 hours etc) so it'll be interesting to see how I go. After years of lifting etc I think I've got a decent base muscle wise but I'm not fit enough or lean enough for my liking so this program looks like it is suited to those goals pretty nicely.

My only concern is when I'm going to find time to walk my poor neglected dog. I think i'm going to find it hard mustering up the energy to take her for the regular 3 mile walks I do now if I'm doing insanity as well but I'll just have to do what I can.

        Re: Insanity

Just finished the Fit test and it was a pretty good workout considering how short it is. I was able to get through the minute of pretty much everything but I was really struggling towards the end. A few things I liked from my short sample size:

        1. Sean T is way less annoying than Tony Horton from p90x.

        2. It was cool to see the people doing the exercises actually struggle at times.

        3. I need a towel down when trying to do things like pushups and planks as I was slipping all over the place on my tiled floor from the sweat.

        4. I am really uncoordinated!!!

I was actually able to beat the dude on the right in a couple of exercises but I don't think my form was as good and then I was nowhere near him in others (like the pushups where he did something like 42 and I only got 20) and that women was pretty damn impressive. I suck at the plyo jumping type moves but can usually keep up in in the core type ones like the plank type ones. I guess that makes sense because other than p90x well over a year ago I haven't really done any training like that.

Overall though I thought it was pretty damn awesome and I'm looking forward to the rest of the program!

Be careful on a tile floor. You will sweat so much it will be slick and it might cause havoc on your knees.

I've never had a single knee issue in my life but after about 4 weeks my knee had a sharp pain every now and then. I workout on a mat over carpet too.

I missed my first workout in almost 8 weeks yesterday. Late getting home, didn't wake up until 8 pm, had to leave for work at 9. It was Max Recovery but I was mad at myself all night long.

Day 1 of week 2 complete. It's funny, the workouts are getting harder the farther I get into this, mainly because I can actually get through the whole workout now, causing more muscle exhaustion. I wanted to cry at the end of power cardio and resistance today. Felt so good though (TWSS).

Yeah I think I'll have to put a mat down or something too. My body certainly isn't used to all the jumping and I have plyo cardio this afternoon so I know that's going to be heaps of jumping etc.

Sounds like your fitness has improved already which is pretty cool after such a short time. These workouts definitely seem like the type of thing that no matter your fitness level you can always push yourself just that little bit harder to make it a challenge.

My wife definitely couldn't hack the pace of the fit test so I'm not sure if she will keep doing the program with me but I'll do it solo if needed. She hurt her shoulder doing the plank to jump thing so I'm not sure if she'll be able to get through the program without hurting herself but we'll see. She got through the P90X program but this does seem a little bit more intense. I told her just to do what she could even if it was only a half or a quarter of what they were doing on the screen and anything is better than nothing but we'll see.

Yeah, if she is having shoulder issues, she'll have to keep it in check. Today's cardio power and resistance had almost nonstop variations of pushups, tricep dips, etc. that murder your upper body.

I honestly feel like the fit test was the hardest workout so far. Trying to push for a minute straight on these exercises, especially on the first day, is brutal. So if I were her, I wouldn't worry about it. However, the shoulder thing may be a concern.

IMO, this program is something where, if you can't do one exercise (pain, joint soreness, whatever reason), just continue to move at a fast pace doing something you can handle. It's more about the cardio conditioning anyways, as opposed to muscle building.

Yeah I'll just tell her to take it easy and go at her own pace and I'm sure she'll be ok.

I recently had some foot trouble and had to go to a podiatrist to get orthotics made up etc but my knee's / ankles etc are pretty much fine so i think i'll be all good.

It's funny I've read negative reviews of things like Insanity and P90X saying why would people pay for information they can get for free and I can see that point but for me it's worth it. It's just so much easier to simply throw in a disc, press play and get a great workout in the comfort of my own home than other options and it is a great way of keeping yourself accountable by following a program all the way through.

Sure you could just search the net and find similar program's but it's just so convenient to have it all in one easy to follow package.

100% agreed. A bunch of guys at work think i'm crazy for paying so much for the program, but like you said, it's one of many things to hold me accountable. Plus, these programs clearly work, and I have no problem supporting Beachbody. Having the foldout calender, DVD's in one foldout case so they are easier to keep track of, and the meal plan in book form are all great perks.

I've found I want to stick to this program, because I already see results, not just physically, but mentally.

If the only thing you got out of the program was that you were able to stick with a consistent workout program than it would probably still be worth it imo.

Consistency is really the key to all of this health / fitness stuff when you think about it. Anybody can do something for a little while then revert to their old habits but it's being consistent in your workouts and nutrition that gets the serious life altering type results. Easier said than done of course.

It's not that expensive when you compare it gym memberships which can be many hundreds of dollars per year (not to mention fuel and time costs of travelling to and from each workout) and it's something you can theoretically use for years and still keep getting results.

Yeah, when i'm done with round 1, I may jump right into round 2. If not and my body needs a break, i'm still going to do a couple of the workouts 3 times a week or so. Over a long period of time, if you only did these DVD's a few times a week, you'd probably still see good results.

Yeah I guess it's all goal relative. If you just wanna be pretty fit and lean and not overly muscular you could easily maintain with a few workouts and run or 2 a few times per week. If you wanna get muscular like the shake weight guy you'd need to hit the gym with a more traditional type program.

For me I'm turning 31 next month, married with kids I'm not looking to be some bodybuilder looking dude anymore. I just wanna be fit and healthy and be a good example to my kids and this sort of thing should be more than able to do that for me.

Yeah, i'm only 24, but i'm the same way. Married with 2 kids. I could give a damn about being buff. Sure, i'd like to tone my muscles up, which this program does, along with giving you a tight core and a great cardio base. I'm excited, because this is a program where I don't have to be super strict with having enough calories/protein to maintain a large muscle mass.

Wow just finished Plyo Cardio circuit and it's a pretty awesome workout.

I thought he was just doing a small warmup to get started and he just jumped straight into it. I was like "if that's the warmup I have no chance"

Those power squats really killed me as did the end bit with the pushup circuits but it does a great job of just perfectly pushing you to your absolute limit than it backs of a little before destroying you again.

Great workout overall and like you guys have said I looked like I had been standing in the rain for 20 minutes I was that drenched with sweat.

Feel like a million bucks right now. Gotta love those post exercise endorphin's!
