I don't really know what to do, I can do a lot of crunches and sit ups but that seems just to make my upper abs harder, and i still have some fat on my lower stomach

Eating less than 1500 cals/day is 100% foolish in my opinion. Your body is a machine and needs to be properly fueled. Body will go into starvation mode and eat up muscle if it has to for fuel.

Raidersbball - you might not have lower ab muscle. Many people omit weighted ab exercises, which is a mistake. We all don't naturally have abs under there, you need to build them then shred the fat through a very strict diet to see them.

      It takes time

I agree. I think you do your body more harm like that.

Also, not a fan of Cici's pizza at all. The $ is good but the quality is bad IMO.

I love Cici's. As much average to mediocre pizza and phenomenal cinnamon rolls as you want for like $5.

I rarely go there because it's so unhealthy, but you can't beat Cici's for the price.

Re: Weight Loss - Tips & Daily Check-in

I've spoken to two doctors about it and both are on board with what I'm doing. As I said, although I calculate 1200 calories per day often food labels are simply wrong, sometimes I forget about an item(s) i've eaten and finally sometimes my math is simply wrong. This applies to most people as well. Sting says he's doing 800 calories a day but I'll bet he's probably actually around 1000 to 1100 a day.

Besides, as I've said, if you listen to your body it will tell you when to eat. You say I'm starving my body but I say i'm eating normally for once in my adult life.

Since I don't want to 100% base all of my success on the scale I just ordered a device which measures your body fat.

Some of you guys may want to consider this, or wait and see how I like it.

Hey ODogg, I know you're not currently tracking it, but could you possibly record your fat intake as well? If it's too much trouble don't worry about it I was just curious where you are coming in on that side of the house as well.

That's a good idea, I will try to start putting two numbers up there and tracking those two items.

Oh and just a heads up to everyone, some beer is in my near future so don't freak out!! Haha...That's why i'm trying to stay very lean and low cal today. The extra long workout will help balance it out too.

The problem with an extreme low calorie diet is like stewaat said, you need food to fuel your body. If you aren't eating enough your workouts won't be as effective and your metabolism will slow down. You'll still lose some weight because your body will need to burn fat for energy but you'll be burning muscle as well which is counter productive to burning fat.

Have to keep in mind though this is going to be swayed one way or the other based on fat/protein intake as well as what kind of fats/proteins are being eaten.

If you are working out on a daily basis, I can't imagine how your body properly functions on only 800 calories. Hell even 1100 is a low calorie count. Calories are units of energy. Simple as that. I just think people should consult with trained professionals before making such drastic changes in their eating habits.

You (Sting) said your body works differently than the majority but you are still a grown man and 800 calories isn't really helping you out.

But you will do as you please. I wish you the best.

@ ODogg, what is a normal weight?
You should never WANT to relinquish muscle for the sake of losing weight. The key to it all is burning fat, not muscle. Building muscle also burns fat.

How much lifting are you dudes doing?
                              Concrete evidence/videos please

A normal weight for me is 220. I'm lifting as well as cardio. The point is I'm sick of being fat and all these self help bull**** advice scenarios aren't doing **** but making me fatter. I'm getting the calories I need.
