Wow... I must sleep a lot. If I have my way on the weekends, I'll sleep 9-11 hours. However, I don't get my way very often anymore.

4-6 during the week, around 7-8 on weekends.

Last night, I slept 14 hours, but that's because I just got back from Europe and haven't slept in two days due to the flight home.

11pm-7am everyday, so 8 hours. I can't sleep past 7 anymore if I go to bed at 11, my friends at school make fun of me but I like to make the most out of my days.

I have a hard time believing that. Define "too much."

9 hours or more at a time. Apparently, it can be counter-productive and make your body too sluggish. I don't know if it is true with every person, but apparently research has been done on this.

I think that's supposed to say "since I was about 14 years old." Because the way it currently is, makes you sound like you're saying that you are currently 14, and you're not. At least, I hope you're not.

What's the most anyone has ever slept at once? I did what I call some "power sleeping" one time and managed to get 18 hours. Felt like crap too...that's way too long to sleep!

Oh and that's not a theory about getting too much sleep, it's a fact. I just read a study on it somewhere online. If you get too much sleep it's as detrimental to the body as getting not enough. I know it's hard to believe and doesn't really make much sense but that's what the study says. I'll post the link if I can find it.

Unfortunately, I'm also in that unemployment boat. While working (teaching) I try as hard as humanly possible to get around 8 hours of sleep (to bed shortly after 11, awake just before 7). Ridding of cable television has helped a lot in that regard.

Lol, it's funny because that's what keeps me awake many nights. I always find something mindless to watch on cable and before I know it, it's 1 AM and I'm nowhere close to being asleep, even though I should be.
