    Re: Off Topic 2010

    It's Favre's B-Day today. He turns 41. Todd Collins turns 39 on November 5th.

Vikes play Bears on November 14th.

If Collins starts in that contest we'll see an NFL game in which the combined age of the starting qbs is 80.

This really gives me something to hope for and actually look forward to.

Somehow, someway, I find myself still awake.

      Huh...guess I wasn't that tired.

I have a viewing to go to tomorrow then a funeral on Monday. Really, REALLY sucks...

Side note: Why is the word fun in funeral?

I had the worst service of my life tonight.

Went to a pizza/pasta restaurant in Hollywood. First mistake. Anyway, we get there, everything looks delicious, nice place, whatever. Waiter approaches us, total dick with the drink orders and everything. He kept asking if we were ready even though our other member of the party wasn't there yet. We ordered garlic breadsticks, calamari, a deep-dish meat lovers, and another pizza.

Breadsticks come out and were amazing, but the busboy brought them. Calamari didn't even come at ALL. No biggie, ask the waiter and remind him, right? He's nowhere to be ****ing found. Pizzas took forever, but one was deep dish so whatever, that's to be expected. The pizza was hella cold, considering its a meat lovers and considering it took a good 40 minutes to come out anyway. Waiter, again, nowhere to be found. We just ate the damn thing cuz the flavor was good.

We were going to order this Nutella ravioli as a dessert, but the guy comes and just drops the bill and bounces. Didn't come to check ONCE, didn't ask how the food was, nothing.

We left absolutely no tip whatsoever. For the first time in my life, I didn't leave a tip. It was THAT bad.

The amazing part? As we're waiting for the valet to bring our cars around, the guy comes OUT of the restaurant and asked us if something was wrong. I said "Honestly? Yeah. The pizza was beyond cold, we didn't even get our calamari, and you never came to check up on us to see if things were alright or if we needed anything. In fact, it was probably the worst service I've ever had in my life, and I don't know if that's something you can fix, or if its the restuarant...or what."

He was just like "mmhmm....yep...okay...alright....cool". I didn't even bring up the fact that he was a ****ing dick and that we would have ordered dessert had he even come to ****ing check up.

I'm going to call them Monday if my buddy held onto his credit card receipt so I can see what the waiter's name was. Unreal.

Damn thats pretty bad. I had service like that once and didnt leave a tip. Well I guess the waiter got mad and added his tip to my credit card bill because when I checked my statement it was like $5 more then what was on my receipt so I called and complained to the restaurant and got the extra charge off the credit card. Not sure if he got fired or not but I hope so because that is a pretty dirty thing to do.

I'm pretty sure what the waiter did is a federal crime actually.

Usually I actually overtip because in college I lived with a lot of servers and heard some real horror stories. Wow that is ****ty. I should check my statements more often. I check it but I forget the price of my dinner so if a waiter ever added a few dollars for his tip I probably wouldn't notice.

I've only not tipped a few times. I'm really patient and most of the time will give the waiter the benefit of the doubt. But if it's just all around bad service and the waiter sucks then sorry you have to earn the tip and I don't feel bad not giving anything. I typically tip 20-25%.

The Tosh Show was excellent last night. Jasper Redd and Matt Fulchiron were the opening acts. Both were solid but, Tosh was on fire! He put everybody from Bret Favre and Obama, to the City of Orleans, to raping the baby of Brad Pitt and David David Beckham on blast. It was great if he's coming to a city near you then I highly recommend going to see him. It's definitely worth it the price of admission.

Afterwards, we went to Five Guys for the first time. The burger's there are definitly top notch however, I don't think that eating one at 10 p.m. was the best idea.

Just got back from my Flag game, we won 7-6. On the TD pass I threw the nastiest block of my life as I took care of my DE and the blind side DE who had a rush by driving my guy back into the other DE and freeing up the QB throw a TD.

That's the thing. It's a smaller, more intimate restaurant. It wasn't packed at all. I don't know. I just feel like the cold pizza and lack of calamari would have been corrected if the guy at least came to check up. Whatever I guess.
