They should of had it posted somewhere. If it's a new policy there is no reason why it should not be posted.

The employee's were just doing what they were told but it's common sense to provide customers information on policies, especially new.

Ah the postal service, the only organization that does less and less every year with less efficiency yet they still jack up prices and suck our tax money. Gotta love it. It's about as out-dated as the Pony Express.

Why the hell don't you guys sign your credit cards when you get them? It says right on the card to sign immediately. And if you lose them a thief could sign in your place and it'd make using the card easier. Sorry but I don't see this as a big issue...

Went up to a teller a few months back who handed my card to me and said: "It needs to be signed."

I looked at her, turned the card over and said: "It is."

It was. She was my worst experience at the Post Office. And that sounds like hyperbole, but it's true because I always had very nice experiences.

Anyway, they should have just let you sign it right there and continued. It sounds, however, like you prefer not to have your card signed. I honestly don't really understand why not, but that's your decision.

If you don't sign your card they are suppose to ask for identification. That's why I don't sign mine.

Exactly... and isn't that more secure than a signature on a back of the card? It's a hell of a lot easier to forge a signature than it is some type of valid identification.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills when I go somewhere that has that policy.

I stood in line at the post office once for 10 minutes it got all the way up to me and 1 person ahead of me 1 behind me and the clerk looks at the time and says " Sorry it's time for my 10 minute break you'll have to come back" and walks off.

It's not that you don't sign it or put anything .... instead you print "Ask for Photo I.D."

I think the bigger concern is that an adult is walking around with less than $23 in cash on his person. Maybe it's just me, but I always carry a decent amount of cash on me just in case the circumstance calls for it and in your case, it turned out that it did.

I'm all plastic, man. It's also a great excuse to give people that want to borrow money. I especially use it when bums on the street ask me for a little change.

Same here. I hardly have cash on me. Right now I have $1 on me lol

I'm actually pretty much the dead opposite, although I know that I am by far the exception and nowhere near the rule these days. I don't even own a credit card right now and haven't for a couple for years. I do have a debit card attached to my bank account though, but it is strictly for making purchases online. Anytime I leave the house I bring my debit card but I never carry less than $100 in cash on me (in addition to whatever amount of cash I intend to spend that day) just in case though.

Come to think of it, the last time I used my debit card for something other than an online purchase was all the way back in January.

I just don't like carrying cash. It annoys me to have to deal with it. I don't use a credit card, but yea, my debit card gets a lot of use.

Essentially, we're doing the same thing: allotting an amount of cash to spend for the day and having some extra just in case.

I think, however, that places of business that do not accept cards are just losing customers at this point.
