I'm UTG in seat 3...look down, pocket Jacks.

    I raise 4x BB
    Seat 4 calls
    Seat 5 calls
    Seat 6 re-raises a pretty large amount
    Seat 1 (SB) folds
    Seat 2 (BB) re-raises all-in
I had a feeling I was beaten, plus with all these people raising there were sure to be overcards galore, so I fold
    Seat 4 calls
    Seat 5 folds
    Seat 6 calls

    Flop: A-3-A rainbow

    Seat 4 checks
Seat 6 bets a large amount
    Seat 4 calls

    Turn: 7

    Seat 4 checks
Seat 6 bets a larger amount
    Seat 4 calls

    River: Q

    Seat 4 checks
    Seat 6 bets all in
Seat 4 calls (Seat 6 had him covered, so Seat 4 was all in)

    Seat 2 flips over 10-10
    Seat 4 flips over K-K
Seat 5 shows his mucked cards of 9-9
Seat 6 shows Q-Q for a set, knocks out 2 guys.

So there were 9's, 10's, Jacks, Queens, and Kings all out on the same hand. I was so proud of myself that I made that fold
This statistics on that makes my head hurt.

I just plugged it into the odds calculator...the guy that won with Q-Q had a 5.26% chance of winning after the turn. He was running ridiculously good all night.

I'm think the odds of 5 ppl getting pocket pairs which happen to be in order in a 6 handed game.

        Im guessin in the millions

I really hate the Two Plus Two forums. I shared this hand over there and instantly got 4 or 5 people trolling in the thread saying how I'm an idiot for folding and this hand isn't that uncommon. I hate that place.

I've never come across so many unlikeable people as I have on 2+2.

5 pocket pairs in a 6 handed game is far from common no matter how u slice it.

It was ridiculous...I now have people saying the hand is fake because of, among other reasons, the "Seat 5 showed his mucked cards of 9-9" part. Despite explaining it was a friendly game and he kept his hand just to see how everything unfolded, they still said I was making it up. It's like, dude, I have better things to do than come on your forum and make up hand histories.

It seems like outside of the Brags/Beats/Variances forum there are some good posters, but the bad ones outnumber them.

I use Bluefirepoker.com for any questions on tough spots. Big fan of Phil Galfond and his insights.

All poker forums are full of introverts that lack serious social skills since the vast majority of them have never played live poker in their entire life. Most of the best of these internet players would get smoked playing live, third level thinking or not.

                    Theres a fine line there.

Theres a definite adjustment going from a 1000 hands a hour to 20.

But at the same time a majority of low level live players are clueless to pot/implied odds maths.

Winning players are winning players. The shame of losing is alot harder to hide live.
