You can find any Honda under easily 5000. Your 16 just get yourself an accord or civic like every other teenager. They are great starter cars an will last you until your mid 20s easy if you need it too.

Re: OS Cars Thread
And if you get a Honda, for the love of god dont get one of those pieces of **** exhaust systems that make it sound like a weed eater, not only are they annoying as hell, your not as cool as you think you are with your 130 hoespower. (not you, but the people with them), and its gonna be hard to find a honda with around 100k miles, i see alot with around 150 plus.Ducks, Mariners, Blazers, Lillard, Favre, Iverson, Griffey, Hernandez, Hawks, Wilson,

I don't have a problem at all with Craigslist. If you find a good deal just take someone that knows something about cars an check it out. Mileage is important but from personal experience, I had 2 civic go 200,000+ in mileage with no problem. Imo Honda a great for teenager. They are easy to fix yourself (check YouTube) generally good on gas and their parts are also cheap. Also yea don't put a riced out muffler or a stupid *** body kit please.

Re: OS Cars Thread
Honda.
My two closest friends and myself all had a Civic and two of us still have ours from High School. Mine has ran just fine, and I'm purposely changing motors on it, with nothing wrong with the one that came out of it..
I don't drive it often, since I have my SS, but It's been so good to me, I can't let it go..
They're reasonably cheap and replacement parts are in expensive, also..Comment

Re: OS Cars Thread
Why dont you buy a pick up? You could find a great Toyota for around 5, or maybe even a little Chevy s10, there a good running little truck, i have one, and it runs great, and a 1969 chevelle as well but thats out of your range, and im 17 by the way too man.Last edited by brett the jet favre; 03-19-2012, 02:13 AM.Ducks, Mariners, Blazers, Lillard, Favre, Iverson, Griffey, Hernandez, Hawks, Wilson,

Re: OS Cars Thread
I personally would stay away from Craig's list but that's me, 100,000 miles and over is high especially when you don't know anything about the maintenance of the car was the oil air filters ect changed regularly. The higher the miles the more trouble you could potentially be getting yourself into.

Re: OS Cars Thread
I don't think I'm going to buy a car for a while.
I'd rather lease. Might just be my situation or personal feeling, but owning a car is too much hassle.
Look at it this way.
When you buy a car, the minute you drive the car of the lot, it depreciates by an obscene percentage. Not only that, but you have to get a loan, which collects interest, which in the long run, makes you pay more for the car than the actual price of the car and the loan.
Also, if you own it, chances are, you are going to pass the limits for the warranty, which is usually when things start to go wrong. Which is going to cost you even more money.
Sure, when you are at the end of the lease, you really don't have anything to show for it, but you also aren't paying interest to drive it, and if you own it, what do you really have to show for it anyway, chances are, you will get rid of it, and get something new.
I literally live 3 minutes from my office, and don't have to drive long distances to get anywhere so I will never come close to the mileage limit. I understand this option isn't for anybody, but I recommend it for people who are concerned about buying used, and can afford to pay monthly. Att the end of the lease, you can chose to buy it anyway, for a significantly lower price, with maintenance and care that you know for sure happened.Comment
