I currently have a 17 WRX and I'm certain it's my last stick-shift manual. I will certainly stick with the stick (no pun intended) if its available when I'm looking for a new car, but in today's market that's increasingly rare. Paddle shifters could be a good substitute for the "fun part", but honestly going through the gears in some turns is always fun - even if I'm just cruising.

I guess it'll depend on the car. Another WRX and I'll probably try and stick with the manual stick, but anything above that will probably just be an automatic.

Drove the wrx for awhile as well, was hoping the sti with the new engine would already be out by now so i could grab a 2nd or 3rd year model. Not too many manual awd choices left to choose from and porsche are too expensive

Subaru has dropped the ball on the STI IMO. They should grow the family so as you get older you still want to get another one. It’s too much of a young persons car for me to get again.

All you guys talking about your Subies makes me a little sad, had so many good memories with my Sti.

I honestly wouldn’t feel like it would be a young mans car if I got one again. I would look at it like it I was the old guy in the neighborhood with his 60s muscle car.

All you guys talking about your Subies makes me a little sad, had so many good memories with my Sti.

I guess young is relative. I don't feel out of place rolling around my WRX at age 33. I probably wouldn't at age 43 either. I feel like a lot of the other drivers I pass are as old or older than I am.

If I was in my early 20s and wanting a "sports" car I would have looked really hard at the BRZ.

Its too bad theirs no more manual bmw 335i or audi s4 after you get tired of the wrx or sti. Supposedly the new m3 and m4 might have awd and can still be had with a stick but probably starting at 70k+.

I have done track runs in the past, have been meaning to do a 'performance driving school' thing for a while but haven't found the right time/place (and now who knows when/if that's ever going to happen). But track days are fun as heck and I highly recommend them.

Not in a 4 wheeled vehicle but I've done somewhere around 30-40 track days and a hand full of novice races on motorcycles.

Great way to advance your skills and a ****load of fun!

I'm getting this I want a 4x4 to go off roading bug that i can't get rid of since the Bronco was announced. I don't know if i can wait that long since they haven't announced in Asia so I might go for an older FJ Cruiser and play with that.

My three-year-old nephew is obsessed with Tesla's! Not that Hot Wheels cars are real haha but they're real enough for him.

I saw an article that was a few months old that BMW was planning to roll out OTA updates to allow for some compatibility for android phones to work with the idrive system. Of course my 4 series was not included in the models receiving the update. Between that and the hideous grill on the 2021, I think that BMW is trying to kill off the 4 series.

I totally agree with this. The new M3/M4 look like they were designed by a 10-year-old kid with crayons. And whoever designed that new grill should be drug out into the street and publicly flogged.

I suppose at least they're releasing manual transmission versions, but that only goes so far to save those Hot Wheels reject cars.

Is anyone into car detailing and can link me to what products they use? I just got a 2020 Santa Fe and want to do a lot better on keeping this one clean. Interior and exterior. I still want to keep it on the budget end of pricing though.
